I am dumbfounded by the idiocy spewed by our leaders.

Russia has many thousands of nukes and has prioritized funds to maintain them for decades.

If even half hit their targets modern civilization is over.

Does no one in power understand how Russians think? They lost 27 million in WWII and celebrate it as a great victory. They are paranoid having been invaded over 50 times mostly from the West.

I agree that Russia should not be able to conquer Ukraine. However, peace could have been negotiated and Russian concerns addressed without hundreds of thousands dead.
