Was Gen X the most hardcore generation?
Listen to these songs from different genres of music. Even women were super hardcore. We were in between the soft hippies and the snowflakes of the 2000s. thumbs

The workers of the early 1900s were the real hardcore generation. Gen X had it made. Just enough technology.

Re: Was Gen X the most hardcore generation?
The most hardcore generation was our fathers and grandfathers who fought WW2. They burned people out of holes and concrete bunkers. The last 2 generations are just walking co##suckers next to them. The boys are worried about what dress to wear to match his heals going to the prom, and their parents try to get matching hair dye and make-up. We are fuked if we ever have to fight another global war using all our youth.

We had the best times

The most fun

Yes we were hard-core

We weren't pussies

We knew what no meant

We earned our trophies

Sure we had some tech which eped but most of us didn't really get into tech until late 90s ...

In the 80s we stayed outside all day drinking from water hoses, not coming home until dark

We didn't back down from fights or use guns we fought fist to fist

Greatest times

.this gen the next gen will never enjoy that unless all this tech goes to hell and the whole system crashes and resets then maybe the next gen of kids will have a chance

There were no gay and transvestites in the 80’s?

They just weren’t advertised.

Give the kids a break. Not everyone is a cornball.

Re: Was Gen X the most hardcore generation?
I was born during the tail-end of GEN X, and really enjoyed the 1980’s as a kid.

“Time Bandits” taught us to have some imagination skills about everything, while “Red Dawn” taught us to be fighting tough in case the Russians and Nicaraguans attack our Country.

“Back To The Future” showed us the concept of time travel, “The Explorers” showed us how teamwork and ingenuity can help kids build a spacecraft and travel into space, and “Ghostbusters” gave us humor mixed with monsters.

“Spies Like Us,” “Top Gun,” “Aliens,” “Conan The Barbarian,” “The Neverending Story,” “The Goonies,” “The Gremlins,” “The Terminator,” etc…

So many amazing films, and I haven’t even started on the shows, games, and toys we enjoyed.

Running, not walking, into a warehouse-sized facility which sells nothing but toys, bikes, skateboards, and games for children to have and enjoy.

Kids today will never know any of this, sadly.

Re: Was Gen X the most hardcore generation?
We Gen Xers might not be the most hardcore generation in world history, but we might be among the top 5 most angry.

Imagine being stuck between two other generations who have the numbers and political control, both of which you know to be comprised of a majority of complete assholes.

Then you might understand why Gen X is angry. Maybe, but I doubt it. :-)

Dumbing down populations is a real thing, so is soft killing.

After realizing that fact, realize people generally getting stupider the longer we go...I'd say most of the chemical, medical and technological stuff started in the early nineties, hence best it could have been end of boomer gen.

I would agree that most Gen Xers who are parents would most likely be horrible parents.

In order to get married during the marrying years of Gen X required two people who were completely full of shit and total conformists. Otherwise, the brainwashed female never would have gotten married to the house broken jelly fish of a man that she must have married based upon marriage statistics and divorce rates.

Ergo, you arrive at the Millennial generation that was a huge voter bloc and has political power second only to the proverbial B00mers.

Back when the sun wasn't burning so hot we could play outside all day long.

The little tech that we had was also the most interactive.

We had the best toys like Transformers and R/C cars.

We had the best arcades where we spent alot of time and lunch money at. Sega Ourun / Afterburner / Hang-On.

Some of us could still drive stick shift cars.

Now these stuff don't even exist anymore. Kids these days have no idea what they are missing.

I've been listening to Gwar for 25 years.

I remember panteras far beyond driven.

I'm 44 and have written off in crashes, nine cars, ice been to jail 4x for interesting stuff, I've been stabbed, poisoned, burnt with boiling water, I've lost two fingers, and I'm literally a book of scars, and got another two decades before I decide I'm old enough to die, then I will cause big enough shit, to die violently.

And I will die, as I have lived.

Re: Was Gen X the most hardcore generation?
Uh no, we weren't hardcore at all, we're like, an in-between generation. The hardcores were long before we were born, when people lived short lives and one had to work like a boss from the tender age of 4 to make a living.
