Your feet will breath better. Wash your socks inside-out on 'hot'. Washing and drying them iside-out eliminates sock/toe lint. The hot water wash keeps your socks fresher and your feet breathing better. |
Hillcrest User ID: 392015 United States 05/12/2008 01:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | barring a fungal infection, you may be diabetic. diabetes is notorious for causing all kinds of foot problems.... have that checked out. lots of people are pre-diabetic, borderline diabetic or full-on diabetic without realizing it. are you obese? that stimulates foot problems as well as diabetes. or you may have neuropathy (again, diabetes can be a cause of that too).. you could have some type of problem with your knees, a bone cyst, a small tear irritating a nerve and traveling down to your feet... i could go on... maybe you just need some arch supports and better shoes. just throwing a few things out there. go to the mayo clinic website and search around. lots of good medical info there. good luck! Water always wins. :sun: |

possibly because User ID: 435508 Romania 05/19/2008 04:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the skin on your feet are releasing a stress hormone called histamines. it's your feet telling you to take a rest. try this experiment - go to a natural food store and buy a specific type of niacin. it'll say on the bottle "may promote skin flushing." (not all niacins are the same). the "niacin skin flush" is due to niacin increasing blood flow by dilating blood vessels. take it and your skin will respond by itching - histamines are released by the skin due to the "stress" of increased blood flow. but it's harmless and quite healthy. you'll probably feel the same as what your feet will feel. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 429884 Standing on CONCRETE very bad for knees and feet Get some gel shoes to cushion them - and insist on and use one of those cushioning pads they have for people that stand - it's required in some states - like for WalMart cashiers and others - some get a stool to sit on Inbetween customers - with a doctors note they must give you a stool or chair |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 75343645 United States 08/07/2017 07:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's nerve damage - from standing on CONCRETE - even if tiles over Ibises to stand 16 hours at RV shows in Malls Wanna see grown men have tears? Ok while standing - but they tear up as soon as they SIT DOWN!!! They used to have a few beers just so they COULD SIT DOWN!!' My feet ached all night FOUND SOMETHING that helps - fast too! Those Adidas sandals - plastic with bumps on them- I put them on in the car from our work set up to the hotel after 10-16 hours standing - with socks on (until you are used to them) Can wear them into public - don't take socks off and let stink out - and we had dinner at 10 PM after a couple drinks - and aching all night STOPPED even if I wore them for only 5 mins when I had forgotten them - pace the hotel room or around the house before bed- you are getting nerve damage and the BUMP SANDALS are the BEST!!! |
