Anonymous Coward User ID: 78392 United States 08/31/2008 03:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thread: Gustav Forecasts - Moving Slow Go read the post yourselves. You constantly said its going to take the path of Dean and go into the Yukatan and hit mexico. Then you said it could possible turn and hit florida. Now your saying you were right all along thats its not even a big deal. You just watch the fucking weather channel and follow what they say. Thats why you were gone for a couple of days b/c your stupid tracking was bullshit. |

EVEN IF Gustav makes it into the Gulf, it will be highly unfavorable for the doom hurricane that everyone is hyping on. Quoting: Kevin_MartinWell thought today would be a good day to post now in saying Gustav is suffering in the Gulf as I expected. This should continue. Gustav is bringing in dry air and just unfavorable conditions will not do it justice. I suspected this last time I posted days back on Gustav. This is why I didn't update on Gustav because of the fact of wanting to let you all have doom fun, and to come back and post when my prediction of a weaker Hurricane in the Gulf, not stronger, comes true. You guys on the Gulf coast will see a Hurricane, HOWEVER, you will not see a MAJOR hurricane. You've been spared... Also check the chemtrail page out. They are in force to modify Gustav today. PS thanks for the Birthday Wishes. Was great! Wrong Again! Just like you first prediction of Gustav. You couldnt be more wrong again.Wow you suck bad.Go eat your hat. Tropical Weather Service Tropical-Scale-Discussion Ontario, California August 25, 2008– 12:30pm PDT CURRENT - OFFICIAL Source: [link to www.owsweather.com] This will be a tough one due to where the steering systems will be. Some tracks take it into the Gulf Of Mexico, and some take it West. I will go ahead and place the track along nearly the same course of Hurricane Dean back in 2007. The course should take it WNW until we see a building Ridge Southeast of Florida. This is your safe zone from Florida taking another direct hit. This should deflect Gustav to the West and into the Mexico area on the Yucatan Peninsula. As far as strength. This doesn't look overly strong and may go to Hurricane force. Updates to come if the track wants to change. For now have highlighted in the cone of probability a risk North of Cuba if it wants to go that way so always remember that anywhere in the cone of probability is a risk zone. Our highest probabilities take it to where Dean hit in 2007.. The Yucatan. K. MARTIN |

Kevin_Martin (OP) User ID: 425530 United States 08/31/2008 03:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If I kept the forecast going West like my posts said then what would that show? It would show laziness and disrespect to all posters here on the Gulf Coast. If new information is gathered I MUST report it, REGARDLESS if it ruins my first forecast on it. It's not about getting it right the FIRST time, It's about getting it right before the event happens. It's still less than a day away and not doing too good. Before it hit Cuba my website said I was on board for a Gulf Of Mexico hit. I gave outcomes as in "possible" tracks based on the "IF" forward speed of the tropical system. It sped up fast enough to reach the Gulf, therefore the track for the Gulf was solid as it left Jamaica. But I also did state if it reaches the Gulf the environment would weaken it right in the center, not strengthen it like most hurricanes. Look for a slight increase, but this thing is not doing too well to be considered a KATRINA. A storm like Katrina comes once in a blue moon for the Gulf Coast and the path Katrina took was exactly the track of a major hurricane to the Gulf. Gustav's track is blah for a major devastating Hurricane. Not to mention this 17-18 mph of forward speed is not helping it to become a Cat 4 again. Also it will hit West of N.O. with N.O. not even in the wind field. Jim Cantore will need to put the alligator suits on so they don't think him as pray if he reports where this thing is going to hit. Kevin_Martin (OP) User ID: 425530 United States 08/31/2008 03:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Katrina had a very wide area of wind speed around the center. Gustav is rather tight and most likely will only affect a small area on the Southern Louisiana Coastal area. I certainly don't think it is a Katrina. We won't go there with my forecasting the "near term" when it came to PHX's severe storms on the 28th of Aug this year when NOAA had 10% chance of isolated tstorms.... Just won't go there with my near term ability. Long term is tough, near term is not. All variables can be seen. yes, pressure is dropping and this will strength some over the next 12 hrs due to the eye or core of the tropical system warming up to near 15C from a 12C temp. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 493676 United States 08/31/2008 03:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You are my hero! Weather forecasting MUST be revised regardless. Sure I said it might go West, but I didn't discount a Gulf hit with my cone extending out that way. But I did say it would not be much of a problem for the Gulf. I still do not see a big problem with this. This certainly won't be a Katrina or again "Storm Of The Century" Quoting: Kevin_MartinIf I kept the forecast going West like my posts said then what would that show? Kevin_Martin (OP) User ID: 425530 United States 08/31/2008 04:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Again, that was a longer term forecast. Everyone knows the chance was there. It took a jog DUE SOUTH from Haiti into Jamaica. That was along off the NHC track and start to veer into a Mexico track. The storm finally sped up and was good enough to head into the Gulf. I knew it was evident then it would be in the Gulf as it reached a forward speed of 12mph. That alone was enough, but the jogging and spending the night from Island to Island was not doing it justice. Also you post links that you THINK will discredit my ability to do what I do. I know you are pulling the J card and sitting in my troll basket isn't helping much, but everyone on here knows my near term ability and I do know this storm is not as much of a problem as people think. Who lives where it looks to hit? Wilderness, swamps, fish? |

<October> User ID: 427959 Canada 08/31/2008 04:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hey, Kevin! I found something !WoW! to me...just now. From this map (barometric pressure field), it looks like Hannah is going to pick up what Gustav lose when he hits land... The incredible speed at which the winds pick up is VERY BAD... I hope I'm NOT reading it correctly!! Anyway...here's the link; see what you think: [link to weather.myfoxtampabay.com] Looks to me that Hannah is going to grow VERY quickly; then slam into Myrtle Beach... I'm figuring that everyone in charge knows, BUT, I can't be certain... but I think Georgia, South and North Carolina (near the border)... plus whatever happens inland... L I think folks should no.. Anyway, this is why I haven't tooken the time to read your thread. btw...Happy 24th, Kevin! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fear is no policy and surrender is not an option ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace with Justice ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
