If you read about many people in this business, this is a COMMON mistake. They are transported from city to city for most of the year and it is not uncommon to not know your exact city or state.

You guys are delusional if you think this has to do with age.

Heh heh It had to happen to somebody sometime. It's always so ridiculous when rock stars do that anyway. I saw the Stones in person and Mick Jagger did the classic Hello, Cleveland thing and said he loves the town. All the fans went wild cheering. As if he gives a rat's ass about the place or even knew where he was!

Not really that strange. It is easy to forget sometimes. All I ever cared about was what time I had to be at the bus or meeting spot that day or next day. Someone gets PAID to handle the itinerary and as long as I know where and when I have to be there to perform or load up..that is all that matters.

Matter of fact, I remember one tour where I didn't even know what country I was in sometimes and didn't care as long as the trombone player didn't annoy me.

NONE of the Detroit drug dealers that I know went to see Bruce perform, but MANY of the baby-boomers in my circle of friends went because they thought it was the last time they'd see the whole group together (perhaps this was designed to prod them to put up the cash?).


One, in particular, is a poor inner-city leader in our urban-gardening/farming initiative who really simply wanted to see someone who made a tremendous impact on her life. She made continual pleas on Facebook for some help, and her partner ended up surprising her with the tickets.


As for Bruce? Thirty years ago, Jackson Browne said it best, "we do so many shows in a row, these towns all look the same".


Nobody I know has their panties in a bunch over this...but there certainly ARE a few very vocal strangers with apparently poor esteem taking it rough.
