German Chancellor Angela Merkel met with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin Friday in Berlin to discuss mainly Putin's initiative to create the Free Trade Area (FTA) with Europe.

Here's another update about the dire water shortage in Israel. It is due to the failure for the Israeli leadership in refusing to listen to Eliyahu's warning against their land giveaway and to the Rabbis' failure to keep the Ten Commandments. Until then, God will not hear their unrighteous prayers.


I've just come from Israel a week ago from a nine-day visit there. Twice I entered taxi-cabs and the first word of general conversation was their concern for the lack of rain and they were hoping for rain at the end of the month, but I see in the news that the skies are still as clear as can be.

Massive Prayer for Rain

There's a mass prayer rally for rain tomorrow (Monday, November 29) at the Kotel (Western Wall) at 3:30 PM. Israel's Chief Rabbis Rabbi Yonah Metzger and Rabbi Shlomo Amar will lead the prayers to be attended by Jews from all parts of Israeli society and all regions of the country. The Chief Rabbis have also declared Monday a day of fasting, as we pray for rain.

Last year was the wettest in five years, and yet it only rained for a few days. Here we are at the end of November, and there's not a cloud in the sky, the weather is so warm there are no coats or sweaters in sight.

I ran into Efrat's weather man, Barry Lynn, today and (like everyone else) asked him, "What's with the rain?" Barry said that there is absolutely no rain in the forecast. I said, "Why doesn't Israel do something to get rain? Seed the clouds." He said, "There are no clouds."

My young neighbor EitanZ. announced, "We can make it rain. Yes, we can make it rain." How, I asked. He looked at me matter-of-factly, "By keeping the Torah."

Eitan walked over to my library shelves and pulled out a siddur (prayer book) and he read in the Shma (Deuteronomy 11:13-21): "And it will be that if you continually hearken to My commandments that I command You today, to love Hashem, your G-d, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul - then I will provide rain for your land in its proper time, the early and late rains, that you may gather in your grain, your wine, and your oil...."

The sore lack of rain this winter has united the religious and secular populaces in public prayers for water.

Public prayer services for rain have been called throughout the country in recent weeks, with increasingly growing participation. For instance, in the traditionally anti-religious kibbutz Givat Brenner near Rehovot, dozens of secular farmers took part in prayers and shofar-sounding for rain last week.

The Kinneret is currently 214.07 meters below sea level – 107 centimeters lower than the forbidden “red line,” and only 80 centimeters above the even more forbidden “black line.” It has lost 20 centimeters in height over the past month, which has been the driest in Israel in the past 48 years. Fires Drought and No Rain.

The Mt. Carmel Mountains around Haifa have many wild fires running out of control as of this Friday morning. Because so many fires started at the same time in different places it seems that arson is obvious. The fact that the fires were started at the time when high winds began making it impossible to contain them, adds to this suspicion..


A busload of prison guard cadets were sent to evacuate the inmates in a local jail, and then the bus was caught on the open road when the wind shifted, and the flames engulfed the vehicle killing 40 and injuring many others. Over 12,000 have been evacuated from their homes, military bases and the university has also been evacuated as the fires continue to spread. Greece and Cyprus have sent assistance to help fight these fires. . Thousands of dunams have been destroyed, and the fire is still out of control.


The mountains around Haifa are some of the most beautiful sights in Israel and the damage caused by these fires will be felt in many ways over the coming months and years. Haifa is Israel's third largest city. It is also a city where Arabs and Jews live together with very little friction.


This is all happening at the same time Israel is facing its worst drought in recorded history. The record keeping started in 1927 and this November was the driest ever recorded. The Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) is in danger of being contaminated by low water that will affect its ability to be used as drinking water for years to come. With no rain, high temperatures and low humidity causing evaporation, we have the added complication that we are not expecting a lot of precipitation this wet season.

There are, however, other problems related to the lack of water. Wars are fought in the Middle East over this. For example, Jordan is hurting even more than Israel. They depend on their portion of the water from the Kinneret, yet they will not be receiving it -so we will be hearing from them shortly in ways that we will not like.

Sea of Galilee expected to drop below 'black line'

The Sea of Galilee, or Lake Kineret as it is known in Israel, along with the nation’s other natural water sources are all expected to drop below their “black lines” by the end of the coming summer, according to officials with Mekorot, Israel’s water authority.

Mekorot’s chief hydrologist, Dr. Josef Guttman, told The Jerusalem Post that even if this winter ends up seeing 50 percent of its expected rainfall, the water sources will still reach their black lines by August 2011.

To the previous posters above, Nibiru did exactly none of the above. It did not stop behind the sun or go in front of it. The sun customarily has solar flares on the other side. And what is the "back" of the sun anyway. the back constantly changes as does the front based on it's rotation and our journey around it.

Nibiru is not here, but even if it was, it would not stop in front of the sun for a 3 day eclipse. This is really a less than brilliant comment. Nibiru is not large enough to eclipse the sun. And of course that would depend on where it stopped also for an eclipse.

the story of 3 days of darkness has nothing to do with Nibiru. It has to do with the upcoming magnetic Pole Reversal. During the time earth does not rotate, and as it of course slows and then begins to turn in the opposite direction, some portions of earth are in darkness, and some are in excessive light too I would assume, since it's not possible to have the entire surface of the planet not facing the sun.

I heard some scientist claim that the South Pole is dead. No, it's just moving to a new location in the area of Argentina, Brazil and Bolivia where the rivers have just frozen millions of fish recently where the water temperature dropped below zero. That is for now. One day the temperature in this area will suddenly drop to over 200 degrees below zero where every living thing will freeze as did the mastodons did thousands of years ago in the Arctic where I read P.M. Putin recently visited. Well, Mr. Putin, both poles are going to shift. The North Pole is moving toward an area in Siberia in which it too will suddenly drop to over 200 degrees below zero where every living creature is going to instantly die. You best warn the people in that area of Siberia to flee, and soon.
