THE Professor ! User ID: 954809 United States 05/24/2010 09:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ONLY read most of the first two pages. However, DIDN'T see one mention of the HEAVY CRUDE spreading out on the FLOOR of the Gulf, which, like the surface light crude, WILL find it's way to the Atlantic Ocean and be spread UP THE EAST COAST, then across to Europe/Africa. May take a year or two, but if the warm water continues to flowing NORTH, carried by the Humboult Current, we will have a DEAD Atlantic Ocean in 2-3 years; fish, crabs, lobsters, clams ALL DEAD ! Reminds me of an old Hollywood film, "The LAST DAYS of Pompeii, where the people IGNORED the volcanic rumblings, for days and then DIED, when the pyroclastic flow of ash and deadly fumes overtook the city in minutes, KILLING ALL ! KEEP ignoring this, folks ! It's MORE fun to RUN away from problems ! ALSO, saw NO ONE hinting that food shortages would result from the loss of fish, shrimp, etc. FOREVER, or one mention of food storage BEFORE there is NONE ! FOOLS ! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 980677 United States 05/24/2010 09:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | yes, this is what I keep telling all you freaks who keep saying "oh my God why doesn't Obama do something! He is so horrible!" Quoting: lapis lazuli 925845Truth is the situation is worse than you have imagined, and nobody, absolutely NOBODY, knows what to do about it This is totally unprecedented, totally unforeseen, and we are all pretty much clueless as how to solve this problem Yes, many BP executives and workers should go to jail for the multitude of criminally negligent acts surrounding this gusher However, none of that will solve the actual problem we are facing right now. Don't you dare say nobody thought this could happen. BP and other companies involved with deep drilling ALWAYS new that this was a possible worst case scenario. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 976637 United States 05/24/2010 10:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So what is everyone going to think when BP locks the leak up in a few months and no doom for anyone ? I guess it will be on to the next so called "Armageddon" lol. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 980162If you like I'd be glad to pay them for all the good they have done. In the mean time STFU fuckstick. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 976637 United States 05/24/2010 10:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | wow. BP fail indeed. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 792052All their profits belong to the sea.. oh man... you are seriously disillusioned below study a simplified version of what is happening in Gulf... (note, these figures are for relative NOT absolute calculations) RELATIVE PROFIT VALUES FOR THE MULTINATIONALS: LOUISIANA SEAFOOD INDUSTRY $2 LOUISIANA TOURIST INDUSTRY $2 GULFCOAST SEAFOOD/TOURIST INDUSTRY $20 DEEPWATER HORIZON NET OIL PROFITS $2000 GULF OF MEXICO AND BEYOND CLEAN UP EFFORTS FOR NEXT 30 YEARS = $2000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 understand now why the 'lack of action'? ----------------------------------------------------------- I think your on to something, it will just be a big dog and pony show till the public loses interest and the next american idol comes on. They will always be doing "something " to contain the spill but not everything they could be doing, otherwise they would go out of business and what self preserving CEO would do that to his shareholders. I can see it now.... " Attention board members! We are going to use ALL of our resources to contain and fix this issue, even if it means going out of business!" (BOOM BOOM) " What happened ...? I don't know, I think he tripped on that .45 over there and two shots went off, craziest thing I ever saw." The tax payers will pick up the tab. This is just Cap & Trade - but at gun point this time. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 936261view sources: [link to www.correntewire.com] [link to monkeyfister.blogspot.com] One poster writes: If the riser has failed and oil and gas are short-circuiting around the annulus of the borehole, this already bad situation will get a thousand-fold worse in a very short period of time. What will happen is the rushing fluids will erode the borehole, transporting the soft sea-floor sediments away, creating a giant 300-foot deep crater down to the point of failure. This will further decrease the back-pressure (restriction on the pressure) and as that eases the flow-rate will increase, further eroding what is left of the borehole casing. It is a very vicious circle. This isn't uneducated conjecture, it is based on my experience with flowing wells. I think very few people have any idea how bad this will get. The damage that is imminent is actually worse than in your worst imaginings. It's quite possible that the entire eco-system of the Gulf of Mexico may collapse. Is there any other news about a new MAJOR eruption? What is not taken into account is the pressure factor, if there is no solution and oil and gas continue to gush out. A point will also be reached where there are huge cavities deep below the ocean floor. This is where the oil and gas was before it was brought to the surface. These cavities will have to be filled up with something, in an open uncontrolled system that would be seawater. In gas fields that are drilled in the north sea located below the sea the ground can eventually start to sink. In such a case the vacuum that is created below the ocean floor is filled up with sediment and earth. Thats because no seawater can seep directly into it. What would be the effect of seawater finding its way down there deep below the ocean floor where it will find the thermal heat of 400 degrees Celsius? I would think that could easily cause a huge failure of the ocean floor that is currently trying to contain all this oil and gas If this was all faked you could blow up the whole region like a 9/11 type event and nobody would even know the difference. The weird thing about it is, why was a permit ever given to BP to drill in such a volatile geographic location? Just like all the thousands of weird details about the 9/11 attacks that to this day don't add up. The shape that the world is in was forged that way throughout the millennia by making people believe fairy tails that justified all the events. I expect the BP oil spill is no different and it will be used to trigger some kind of historic cataclysm leading us closer to a world government for the entertainment of our demoniacally possessed elites and upper classes and their lackeys in high positions of government.
