Maybe some lobby is heavily pressuring him to vote against his conscience, for that matter for something Obama is doing. Grabbing the kid was at least equal or greater than the rudeness of his question. But to make so many judgments about him, walk a mile in his shoes someday. I do not trust the comments here that only too typically demonize a Congressman who is at some point getting little or no respect. "Do you fully support the Obama agenda?" Half the ordinary people here might get pissed off at that kind of question when they are just walking down the street. Fuckers have done everything possible to destroy our nation and enrich their pockets. We all know they are psychos. But now they are showing themselves for all to see. 'Who Are You'? Maybe the congressman woke up drunk in a Soho doorway earlier that day. |

Or ask the countless famous ppl about being charged with assault for attacking the paparazzi for picture taking.. |

The students should have identified themselves right away, HOWEVER, the congressman had NO business laying a hand on that man. They think they are God's and we should fear them. I think I might have been tempted to knock him on his ass........... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 918166I agree that both sides handled this improperly. The students really should have identified themselves. And the congressman? Holy shit! But what I strongly suspect is that someone has been harrassing the congressman already. Someone is giving the old guy some serious grief for him to react as he did. I wonder what the hell is going on and who's putting the screws to him? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 982289 United Kingdom 06/14/2010 11:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | These sort of videos are questionable to say the least. Remember the "hero" who took down Acorn with his undercover sting video. It was all over fox and it resulted in the complete collapse of Acorn and cost many people their jobs. Well a couple of months after all is said and done a DA who was putting together a case to try each of the Acorn employees released the unedited videos. What did we find out, well first the video was cut to eliminate critical clips that showed that the employees were not compliant with the prostitution. For example one man was shown in the video offering his help in smuggling child prostitutes across the Mexican boarder. He asked questions like how many and where were they going to be smuggled from. What the movie maker failed to mention was right after that conversation the employee called his brother who was a police officer in the city and reported the incident and the officer turned it over to the division that handles those cases. The point is don't hang this congressmen out to dry without first waiting to hear all the facts. It is very possible that what is not being shown are actions by the "students" that might have not been as nice as they imply. Trust me based on the opening question these "students" had all intention of using this video to attack the congressman. Hell if I walked into a tea party rally and started asking hostile questions I guarantee I would not be walking out with all my teeth. You mess with the Bull you get the horns. |

Half the ordinary people here might get pissed off at that kind of question when they are just walking down the street. You are either wacked out on crack, a shill, or a statist who believes the public should never ask even simple questions. In the video we saw a young person dressed in a suit greet a congressman politely with "good morning congressman", call him sir repeatedly and ask one single question. "Do you fully support the Obama agenda?". Nothing about that is rude. It was way more respect than Rep Etheridge apparantly deserves. I want to see that soon to be ex-CONgressman perp-walked by the capitol police for assault on tonight's news. Honestly SpaceCommand that is why the Congressman should have said, "no comment" or just not responded in any way. But for you to think that the simple statement of "do you fully support the Obama agenda" are fighting words or an insult is really quite laughable. If you are for something stand your ground, if you are against something have the fortitude to stand behind your actions/decisions. I agree with the other poster that something did spook him for a politician to react that way on camera and to such an innocuous question.
