How Cosmic Rays Make Rain

In a paper published in the journal Nature today, the CLOUD experiment at CERN has reported its first results. The CLOUD experiment has been designed to study the effect of cosmic rays on the formation of atmospheric aerosols - tiny liquid or solid particles suspended in the atmosphere - under controlled laboratory conditions. Atmospheric aerosols are thought to be responsible for a large fraction of the seeds that form cloud droplets. Understanding the process of aerosol formation is therefore important for understanding the climate.

OK, with that in mind, and armed with the previous inputs stating we are possibly being mombarded with some 'special' directed radiation from a particular galaxy, PLUS that a HUman being is primarily made from water...

I guess I'm saying that if cosmic rays can effect something so basic as rain and clouds on our planet, then they can certainly effect us as people.

Go further, with work like Emoto's and it shows just how unprepared and off the track our current science is in dealing with such things. They are literally playing catch up now to all the tree huggers, crsytal lovers and the like, who have known this stuff for ages.

Wait until they get that 'intent' is a big part of it!!

I couldn't help thinking, while I was reading this, that those guys better not use this research as a back door justification for spewing chemtrails all over the place for the last two decades....jackwads that they be. It's all that aerosol talk that got me going.

Gulf states will not be cleaned up or saved, they want the methane reserve, get the fuck out of there. I am sick to my stomach after watching that show. I know this idea has been discussed but I really didn't believe such evil could exist. I believe it now and I hope anyone living in the Gulf states will take what is dear to them and start a new life somewhere else.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1011731

Interesting! Can you tell me more about what Gasland is? I think that an ambitious race of entities that has lived on the Earth alongside humans values methane and uses it like food for energy. They are made of plasma (ionized gas, flame) rather than carbon and so seem to be after vapors and gasses to fuel themselves and survive. If they don't get their food they will "starve" and die, possibly by "fizzling out" or having their particles become so disperse that they can no longer continue to operate as a functional entity.

'Whence do you come, slayer of men, or where are you going, conqueror of space?' The soul answered and said, 'What binds me has been slain, and what surrounds me has been overcome, and my desire has been ended, and ignorance has died. In a [world] I was released from a world, [and] in a type from a heavenly type, and (from) the fetter of oblivion which is transient. From this time on will I attain to the rest of the time, of the season, of the aeon, in silence.'

Re: Something Just Went BEZERK in the Gulf of Mexico. The US Navy just sunk a French Submarine
OK, a retraction of sorts, about the last article on CLOUD.

The head of the world's leading physics lab at CERN in Geneva has prohibited scientists from drawing conclusions from a major experiment. The CLOUD ("Cosmics Leaving Outdoor Droplets") experiment studies the role that particles from deep space play in cloud formation. CLOUD uses CERN's proton synchrotron to study the phenomenon.

CERN Director General Rolf-Dieter Heuer told Welt Online that the scientists should refrain from drawing conclusions from the latest experiment.

"I have asked the colleagues to present the results clearly, but not to interpret them," Heuer told veteran science editor Nigel Calder. "That would go immediately into the highly political arena of the climate change debate. One has to make clear that cosmic radiation is only one of many parameters."

The unusual "gagging order" could have been issued because the results of CLOUD are really, really boring, speculates Calder. Another conclusion is that that the experiment invites a politically unacceptable hypothesis on climate.

The CLOUD experiment builds on earlier experiments by Danish physicist Henrik Svensmark, who demonstrated that cosmic rays provide a seed for clouds. Tiny changes in the earth's cloud cover could account for variations in temperature of several degrees. The amount of Ultra Fine Condensation Nuclei (UFCN) material depends on the quantity of the background drizzle of rays, which varies depending on the strength of the sun's magnetic field and the strength of the Earth's magnetic field.

Speaking at a private event attended by El Reg earlier this year, Svensmark, who is not participating in the CLOUD project, wouldn't comment. He said he thought it was one of four significant factors: man-made factors, volcanoes, a "regime shift" in the mid-'70s, and cosmic rays.

The quantity of cosmic rays therefore has an influence on climate, but this isn't factored into the IPCC's "consensus" science at all.

"CERN has joined a long line of lesser institutions obliged to remain politically correct about the man-made global warming hypothesis. It's OK to enter 'the highly political arena of the climate change debate' provided your results endorse man-made warming, but not if they support Svensmark's heresy that the Sun alters the climate by influencing the cosmic ray influx and cloud formation," observed Calder.

Thread: PIN - RIP GOM - OILCANO GUSHING - AGAIN - "CANNOT BE STOPPED" - TRAGEDY...SO SAD...

At the time BP finally capped the Macondo Well in the Gulf of Mexico, there were concerns that the process had damaged the seafloor. That fear is now materializing. BP’s Gulf Gusher may be spewing again—and if so, there is no way to stop it. It will continue until seafloor pressure and oil pressure have been equalized, which may take decades.
BP is aware. They’ve hired 40 fishing boats to string boom around the Deepwater Horizon site.

There is no question that the oil seepages, gas columns, fissures and blowout craters in the seafloor around the Macondo wellhead… have been the direct result of indiscriminate drilling, grouting, injection of dispersant and other undisclosed recover activities. As the rogue well had not been successfully cemented and plugged at the base of the well by the relief wells, unknown quantities of hydrocarbons are still leaking out from the reservoir at high pressure and are seeping through multiple fault lines to the seabed. It is not possible to cap this oil leakage.

A couple of days ago, Scientific American reported a 35 kilometer long oil plume 1,100 meters below the surface, flowing at 6.5 kilometers per day from the Macondo Well. They report that physicist Richard Camilli stated, without equivocation:
It was created by the Deepwater Horizon Macondo well.

UNDERSTANDING OF THE UNIVERSE:

We find ourselves in this Universe, and we are aware of it. We strive to understand it and to do so, we use all means at our disposal. We observe and speculate; we look and sometimes we find; we ask many questions and we get many answers, but if they are not proper questions, we get indefinite answers or no answers at all.

Sometimes we cannot distinguish between cause and effect or the phenomenon and the effect of the phenomenon.

Sometimes we mistake the shadow for the substance and pass by the reality while we pursue the image. Often we are so enamoured of our own brilliance that we cannot see the little glints of Truth that line our way. Many shining nuggets of Truth lie buried at our feet and if we are not too proud to dig, we will find them.

Truth is not hidden; it is available to all and is the same for all. Apparent differences must be due to inadequate understanding.

Understanding of the Universe comes only through increasing Awareness of it.

Re: Something Just Went BEZERK in the Gulf of Mexico. The US Navy just sunk a French Submarine
Hey guys. I know its wrong to have a knee jerk recation to something you've just watched, but in this case, I think its warranted, given it relation to what we have been discussing here over the last year.

It's 2011, and this doco was first aired in 2010, and obviously made during 2009 and 2010.

It's called GASLAND.

Any Americans who have not seen it yet, I suggest you do. It will turn up on TY somewhere, or on a torrent or you can buy it, which is probably the better option. (blush)

Is about all our old friends, such as haliburton, big oil, US EPA, various energy corporates, and Mr Average(US).

The film centres around hydraulic fracturing, or fracking as we have come to call it, and the natural gas boom in the US.

This was covered a lot on bezerk, but seeing the results in respect to your average person drives it home.

The fracking is quite simply killing the ground water, rivers and air. Yes air. And thus people and animals.

The amazing thing is that on Cheney's watch as CEO of haliburton, legislation was conceived and put in to law, that basically makes big oil, big natural gas, and big energy exempt from the clean drinking water act. Like your patriot act, it was put through in the dead of night, by a select few.

As a result of this, the EPA does not, will not, and need not investigate anything to do with fracking, the chemical poisoning, spills or emmissions. Nothing is happening. It is outside their mandate.

The answer to the bird die offs is simple. NG emissions.

The answer to the fish deaths is simple, NG emissions and run off, and ground water contamination from fracking.

The answer to people getting sick is simple, water, soil, air and livestock contamination.

I had no idea of the scale of this issue. It's US wide.

It's not just oil in the Gulf, but natural gas, which potentially is going to be a larger industry than oil in the US, with wells popping up in your own back yard, completely unregulated.

I couldnt believe what I was seeing in terms of people's water catching on fire, homes being shrouded in murky clouds of natural gas and other hideous gasses, and ground water so contaminated it barely passes as water in description.

The fella that made the film comes from hippy stock, and is a good, sensitive and caring man from what I could see. He gets that this planet is one planet and interconnected.

Poison an area here, and eventually it becomes poisoned over there. Just a matter of time.

So, obvious relevance to this thread, but....

The notion that right now, as a result of interstellar rays, and organism has been awakened to terraform a small pocket of Earth for aliens to habitate just doesnt cut it for me anymore.

The aliens are already here, and in power, and are terraforming the planet already with this crap we call oil, and natural gas, and chemicals, and we are sitting here voting them in, and making it law.

The event in the Gulf might be viewed as a fight back of sorts to combat this then? It is certainly a reaction to something, and I think most would agree with that. (poll suggested it anyway)

If that last premise is correct, then who or what is doing the fighting back? I've never hidden the fact I am pro-Gaia, but she must have allies.

So, with the view that this site, and this thread was conceived as a means of relaying certain information, and also a means to guage feedback to certain concepts which can be used to create spin, or policy, or both, then where do we go from here?

Its been limbo now for over six months.

Acolyte has posted, openly stating that "if you fuck with him, you fuck with rand". Does that mean they are back on side?

Does that imply someone is attacking his new project? I dont know.

All I do know is that documentary, GasLand, flicked some switches, and got me riled up about the GoM and surrounding states again.

No-one can perpertually stay on alert status, and in 'gotta do something about it' mode. It just becomes too hard to manage in our current society, and daily grind. But maybe viewing it from a perspective of 'its already in play', and our little slice of it is not the beginning, but a reaction, might make a few more things make sense.
