wow it's just amazing how uneducated christians these days are regarding prophetic symbolism.

It takes years of personal study on these subjects to understand what they mean--there is NO POSSIBLE WAY that the 2 witnesses are LITERAL PEOPLE--THEY AREN'T!!!

Quit deceiving yourselves and shrugging off the hundreds of prophecy scholars who have devoted their lives to understanding the mysteries of prophecy.

This type of interpretation just proves how few people, even--or especially Christians, know about the 'spirit'... or mythos/allegory/parable in general.

Prophecy is written through 3rd party narrative--a prophet is in a trance and a scribe is writing the WORDS OF THE LORD spoken through the prophet... the prophet himself usually doesn't even understand what he's saying... Fast-forward or rewind a few hundred years and another prophet in a trance is defining the symbols, adding to the prophecy... This is why prophecy is the Word of the LORD--because the prophets are unaware of the greater picture, they only obey what the spirit directs them to speak. What are the 2 witnesses?

2 olive trees:
This is probably too complex to explain to you in detail but the trees represent 2 ORGANIZATIONS which bring fourth fruit (olives, which represent the work of the YHWH within the 2 organizations) which are pressed into an oil and impurities removed--the oil is then inserted into a lamp--held by a lampstand... oil = pure essence, spirit, principal.

2 lampstands:
The lampstands are PEOPLE--specifically PROPHETS... not 2 prophets, but 2 ORDERS/GROUPS OF PROPHETS, one group for each 'tree'. The Lamp/Fire= THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY (thy WORD is a LAMP unto my feet and a LIGHT UNTO MY PATH)...


the 2 witnesses are the SPIRITS OF PROPHECY CONTAINED WITHIN THE WORDS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT AND OLD TESTAMENT PROPHETS... The fact the YHWH brought the 2 witnesses fourth from an evil apostate church is another story... but the time the first officially recognized Bible was created to the time it was first outlawed in France during the French revoultion = 1,260 years... In prophecy days=years... Who are the prophets that make the "rain" stop for 1260 years? ALL OF THEM, BUT MOST SPECIFICALLY DANIEL AND JOHN. The rain is a symbol which represents the nourishment from YHWH which falls from the sky/heaven in order to water the plants (PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS) of earth!!! WHY THE HELL DO YOU THINK IT WAS CALLED THE DARK AGES? BECAUSE IT DID NOT SPIRITUALLY RAIN ON THE EARTH UNTIL AROUND THE TIME OF THE FRENCH REVOLUTION... An evil organization was in power and turned the people of earth into an ignorant (sun=conscious knowledge--being made dark) lot of superstitious fools.... From the time the Bible was outlawed until the time it was made legal again and began being printed en masse was exactly 3.5 years. The true disciples of God during this time were instructed to FLEE INTO THE WILDERNESS for 1260 years to hide from the evil religious persecution... the true people of God were hunted down and called heretics...

After this spiritual drought comes the "LATTER RAIN" --- prophecied throughout the bible... the latter rain brought the discoveries of many physical and spiritual truths about the universe!!! God is the God of the whole world and He doesn't only rain on His people, he rains on the whole earth over all peoples....

Has anyone considered the wording of Rev 11:9-10?

9 For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. 10 The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.

How could people of all nations and tongues and tribes see the two bodies without mass media? And how would the people of the earth send each other gifts without our global mail systems?

Those two lines always throw me for a loop when I go reading the last chapter of the bible.

Also, the idea of being clothed in sackcloth, which from what I understand is a symbol of repentance, but also possibly an image of people protesting the fact that most of the modern world's clothes are made in sweatshops, where human beings die every day to make your nike shoes and american eagle hoodies. There may be more to this than people want to admit.
