We definitely have an Earth-facing CME. Too soon to tell how big, how fast, and what effect it will have. I'm fairly certain we'll see some effects, though.

FYI, Lee made an *EMPIRICAL* connection between any and all solar satellite "iron ion wavelength" images and "electrical discharge" processes in the lab. This includes SOHO iron ion wavelengths, TRACE images, SDO images, ect. That is WAY more empirical demonstration of concept than has ever been done for "magnetic reconnection" in the lab. The mainstream can't even empirically link "reconnection" to any important high energy solar satellite images in any lab on Earth! They can't get "reconnection" to ionize iron to a high ionization state in a lab, but that's already been done with "electrical discharges". They don't even have any RIGHT to talk about SDO images being caused by "reconnection" since they can't empirically link "reconnection" to any iron ion wavelengths in the first place!

A bit off-topic, but it's been raining marbles and golfballs here in Colorado for a solid hour! An hour before that it was clear and a breezy 86 degrees. Hell, the weather here can change dramatically in a matter of minutes....awesome.

WATCH OUT KANSAS! Yeah, I'm talkin' to you, LOOK'n Thru ya! This sudden and very intense storm seemed to have some rotation. It came and went and came back again-like 4 times. Imagine someone throwing stones at your window for over an hour, that's what it sounded like. Very disconcerting. I think this super-cell may be headed your way, LooK'N. I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict a tornado outbreak and more fires with this late Spring jetstream. Keep an eye on yer weather radars, folks.

Wow on all the stuff splashing back down onto the sun. Makes you understand just a bit more just WHAT heads to earth!

you must be south of Denver. I am north and only wind and clouds. It looks so back south, well it did before the sun went down. Stay safe.

Weather change?? I have seen it in the low 80s early in the day and snow that night. Gotta love it!!

There was over an inch of hail on the ground. I'm just east of Pike's Peak front range and I this is the first real bad storm in over a month here. I just went out and discovered that, like a dipshit, I left my car windows cracked a bit. The sidewalks are littered with green once-blooming leaves and small branches. It's like a mini-tornado swept thru and I actually recovered several ice chunks from my front seat. I never-ever (almost) leave my windows open and a 1/2 inch crack in this deluge soaked the entire interior. I don't fret over such things though, it'll dry out tomorrow.

Some of the worse storms I have been through as far as heavy rain and flooding were in the Springs. We get crazy weather here that is for sure.

I hoping to see another strong M or maybe even a X for NINz's B'Day. AR1494's umbra has exceeded that of 1493. Also, the conglomerate of 1496, 98, & 99 is intertwined with several large filaments. These regions are directly facing Earth for the next few days.

Note-1492 has unleashed 2 CMEs in 48 hrs. and the last time I saw it, it had spots...over the limb now.

Potentially, there's 4 or 5 active regions which could produce M-flares and they're mostly Earth-facing. I'm also anxious to see this new region in the south which is nearing the limb.
