Not as visually stunning but does the job. It is lit up almost off the chart(930 - 1000 nt) and shows that the activity is down to or past the 60 degree lattitude. so there most certainly is a mid lattitude aurora. Look at the Ionospheric Convection on the simulation, there is a wild Aurora going on. Good observation. Impact on magnetosphere seems to be subsiding ever so slightly.
