birkland current are fairly regular in their radiating to and from our galactic center but are never equal in volume of electricity flowing through them hence fluctuating solar cycles as we pass through them

fluffy, the denser plasma area we have immersed in was not where we were in our past

So... No mega X-flare until now...

In a few days, sunspot 1302 will be gone... The timeframe for a big Earth-directed X-flare followed by huge CME is reducing...

Good news, but that giant magnetic band connecting 1302 and 1305 is a bit concerning... to me.

Good morning fellow suntards...the baseline on the flux chart is slowly rising..usually this building of energy happens right before a sunspot kicks one off..keep an eye on the flux.

Uh oh.

Flux is still going up...I bet we get two or three flares failry close together here..if the long duration cycle starts up again like last week then it could get interesting..

I think she is still building...this is going to be a small C class but I think the energy is building and she will kick out a few for us over the next hour...don`t start watching the flux chart too much..it`s addictive..lol

My gut is telling me this could be a interesting day with the sun..it seems like the last 3 or 4 active periods we went through the charts have a certain rythym to them..the flares always seem to be spaced about the same distance...like a pulse...

Some pretty strong statements in here...like-- if the last cme would have been a direct hit--"all hell would have broke lose"

It amazes me how few people realize how narrowly we escaped such a disaster. We were lucky and I hope we stay that way.
