It looked earlier more like a CH stream for a Minute but quickly dropped back off - That was a fair few Hours back now,though the Electrons are still in a state of Fraggle and Magnetometer took a dive [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] regardless,as we said in the previous Days - It was always headed too far North to really cause much trouble if any at all.

But here [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] nice little blast heading our way.

The BZ was South for a fair while earlier hence Auroral Activity,though it has evened out now a bit.

Solar Flux has now hit a Low this Month - The Polarities appear to be smeared in bands around different regions of our Star at present(has happened before)rather than settling in a + - position - I do so hope we get a double hump in this 'Max Cycle'.

The complete loss of flares and their CME's being replaced by nothing but filaments does not alarm anyone?

We have one or two new CMEs on the way from those filament eruptions.-


.24 hr Summary...
Solar activity was low. Region 1670 (N17W47, Dso/beta) produced a C1/Sf
flare at 12/1755 UTC as well as occasional B-class flares. It showed
gradual decay in its intermediate and trailer spots and well as some
magnetic simplification. The remaining three spot groups were
unremarkable. Two filaments erupted from the southwest quadrant during
the period. The first, a 7-degree long filament located near S26W63,
erupted beginning around 12/2200 UTC. The second, a 10-degree long
filament located near S29W48, erupted beginning around 13/0300 UTC. We
are awaiting coronagraph imagery to determine whether the coronal mass
ejections (CME) associated with these eruptions were Earth-directed.

We'll have to dig up more info on the 2nd CME. The first one looks to be geo-effective IMO.
