Heard of Encke but thought it was suppose to be during the first week in Jan! Now I am reading November 21, 2013.

Mine too. The red dots are usually bigger looking over the US when posted and I thought it was a 6 pointer, lol.

That is right on the New Madrid.

I thought that was someone coming up the gravel road in a big truck!! It went on for several seconds...the low grumble...long enough for me to get up and look....but nothing there. There was no shaking. There have been a couple over there in that area lately.

That sink hole has always bothered me!! And...I know, I know...Alaska is a big place...but after seeing some of those shake videos...I always wonder if AKO walks on spings!

the initial seismic is in the form of an exposion, somethhing somewhere. i don't know where Truman is....
our seismo's always show higher because we in a Karst system.

The idea of an explosion so close to friends is worrisome...and I am certainly no pro at reading these seizmos. The AR Geo site is always slow to update...and I don't know what an explosion would look like on the thing.

Even when you lurk and only post from time to time...you look forward to seeing names pop up...reading their input. Gabe's absence is indeed felt. I do believe you are right about the above post. I got the impression he was about to push us out of the nest for a while. I like to imagine him lurking from time to time...and then mulling over our direction or lack there of as he enjoys his view of the world from atop his mountain.

There's been a second 2.6 EQ near Truman Arkansas. I'm concerned about the crystal fields, hope they are OK. Maybe they are activating?
