Hard to describe. Money no issue. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1407456A Martin Acoustic Martins are pricy.. Alvarez will give you more bang for your buck.. beautifully made with incredible sound. These guitars have their 'own' spirit. And you're not paying extra for name and status. I own two.. 6 and a 12 string. ovation makes some nice twelve strings.... the feel on the neck is also awesome.... |

I have large fingers, so I need the big nut! LOL. It's a shame they don't make it anymore. I last remember looking at their SL3s and they were not of the same quality. I hear Dean makes some pretty insane guitars. Plus I like Dimebag and Mustaine... lol. EDIT: It's an SL3 in a violin brown sunburst. Martin has some very good models that aren't any mre than a decent Alvarez and you'll get more for your money.Still have an Alvarez Mandolin. I've owned a lot of Guitars, even had a $5,000.00 Sana\ta Cruz for a while to try out, the saying "There is Nothing Like a Martin" is accurate. I recently got an older D28 that wasn't cutting like it should but a 1/4 turn on the truss rod and it came to life . Just Marvelous. |
