I was a sheep during my first two years of college (with some help from the public school system) and became somewhat of an Obamabot. At that point I was fearful of McCain dying and Palin becoming president, I watched mainstream news and my parents are democrats. Luckily I woke up and am more like a libertarian now. Ron Paul is the only trustworthy guy at this point, and I'm hoping he isn't controlled opposition (better than Obama anyway).

My biggest worry and best excuse for being a dumbass!

Btw way I'm no priest but just figured it may be good for those of us that realize we made a big mistake to know that we are not alone in our choice. Whether our choices mattered or not.

it's so obvious what tbtb did with obama. they knew that the majority of americans were fed up with this idiot republican george w. bush for 8 years, and they knew that people had serious doubts about whether the economy/state of the nation would get better. So how convenient is it that we've got this new guy campaigning in '08, seemingly completely opposite from george bush, "die-hard" democrat, promoting all kinds of change, hope, and basically advertises himself as an angel sent from heaven to fix and divert this huge mess we've inherited from the last 8 years. Of course people are going to be intensely attracted to this guy, given the surrounding circumstances at the time.

But, surprise surprise, does he really seem that different? Does he really seem to carry through with all his campaign promises? To me it seems like he's continuing on with the same agenda as before, only worse.

Presidents are just puppets to the people and servants to the real "presidents", the elite, the powers that be. It's all a complete illusion when it comes to the american public, or the rest of the 'useless eaters' for that matter, and once again, the american public got played big-time.

I voted for bush the first term because i was young and voted like my dad. I voted for him the second term because i felt the competition was worse. I regret both those votes today because of the hundreds of thousands of lost lives in subsequent wars.

I admit i bought in to the belief that obama wanted something different and positive for america.....but when push came to shove, for some reason i didnt vote at all that year. I think subconsciously i had begun to feel that something was wrong. I didnt truly open my mind to the way the world really works until about 4-5 months ago. Since then i have been on a non-stop campaign of self education.

Its amazing how different you see the world once the blinders have really come off.

Edit: now that i think about it, another very big reason why i supported obama was because of palin. Mccains decision to choose her as vp disgusted me and was, to me, an obvious ploy to get votes from the hot soccer mom idiot nobody.

Palin helped out Obama immensely, for some it was simply a case of voting for (what they thought would be) the lesser evil.

Well I can honestly say the same, but when the time had some and he had no chance... Well I still felt the responcibility to add my vote and now wish I would have just stay'd home.

I was sick as fuck that day and hadn't even gone to work all that week, but still felt it was my duty to cast my life long shame of a vote that day.

I havent voted since the FLORIDA episode..and believe me..its true..your votes are worthless...

And what, vote for McCain? The main reason Obama doesn't provide is because he caves in to right wing demands. Their main priority is not jobs, it is blocking Obama.
If someone from the right was elected, he would also continue Bushes wars, continue Bushes bailouts and continue Bushes rich peoples tax cuts. The only difference would be that conservatives would probably not be told that the President is the worst of the worst. They would be told he is like Reagan, one of the best (debt maker actually).
