It's a beautiful clear sunny day in Alaska, except I see some clouds that are flat on top... and time is speeding up. It took only an hour it seemed to go from noon to 5pm!

I've been watching the ISS today and they aren't acting as usual. They are acting rushed and like they are trying to get things together and ready. I think they are getting ready to abandon ship. They have pretty much kept it on the default screen but occasionally it will come on and show the inside of the station only. I'll link it here if anybody wants to see. Stay safe everyone and thanks OP :) If everyone keeps updating and posting info, maybe we will get a heads up, at the least.

It shows the effect of the CME or the solar flare will have on the ionosphere and what radio frequencies will be affected. Speculation is that this map can predict Earthquakes.

Crazy, that's how the day played out here, beautiful sunny day with flat looking clouds quickly moving by at times and YES, this afternoon seemed to fly by as well. I can't believe it's already after 7 PM. In Sask, Canada here.

**** EARLY AUTUMN GEOMAGNETIC STORM ****

A Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) that erupted from NOAA Active Region 1302
on Saturday September 24 in conjunction with an M7 strength solar
flare, arrived this morning at 1237 UT (8:37am Eastern Time). It has
kicked off moderate (G2) geomagnetic storms for low latitudes, but high
latitudes are seeing severe (G4) levels of activity. Aurora watchers
in Asia and Europe are most favorably positioned for this event, though
it may persist long enough for viewers in North America. The bulk of
the CME missed the Earth, meaning the storm intensity and duration are
less than what they would have been in the case of a direct hit.
Region 1302 remains capable of producing more activity and will be in a
favorable position for that activity to have impacts on Earth for the
next 3-5 days.Data used to provide space weather services are contributed by NOAA,
USAF, NASA, NSF, USGS, the International Space Environment Services
and other observatories, universities, and institutions. More

Meh. Crazy windy here today. Not unusual to have wind like this on the Sunshine Coast but these kind of storms don't typically hit until January/February - not September. Sustained winds between 60-70 km/hr w gusts up to 110-120 km/hr. Power out all over the place too.

help me here. this shows that the 1-4 mhz frequencies are get maximally absorbed, but when I look at the color chart, it shows the dark purple to purpel range as 2-4 mhz, and this is only the very 'edge' of the exposure. The green, yellow an red are under 5dB, which aint nuthin', right?

If you had clicked on the other resources available you would off seen Australia glowing red as well this was around 12-1pm today

3-4 MHz is visible even at 30db And increasing as you come down, while I'm not an expert in this field I'd say it may cause some havoc as it is similar to the graph that was before the Japanese march earthquakes!
