DT2 User ID: 1587650 United States 10/03/2011 01:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was wondering the same thing and if they will try to blame a "domestic" terrorist. Funny this happens right after both major DHS/FEMA drills that occurred last week in Denver and DC. Not trying to take away from the disaster and concern for those close by and the first responders; hope everyone stays safe and this ends soon. You don't think they are going to label a terrorist attack. I don't know. I guess I just wouldn't be surprised. With all of the Big Brother stuff going on and the recent push by DHS to tell people to be suspicious of everything and everyone, I'm just wondering how this will turn out. They have been steadily telling us to beware of white domestic terrorists, including returning vets, so this situation just seems ripe for that sort of attempt. I certainly hope not. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified." |

Quoting: CowgirlK I already closed the windows and shut down the A/C. If it gets really bad, I have plastic, duct tape and have a pretty good idea how to seal the house off. Looks like those who laugh at us "preppers" will not be getting the last laugh! It is literally time to bring the tomato plants in! add insult to injury... the newscaster just said...to watch out for those TELEPHONE POLES |

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened. |

One has to live in the present. Whatever is past is gone beyond recall; whatever is future remains beyond one’s reach, until it becomes present. Remembering the past and giving thought to the future are important, but only to the extent that they help one deal with the present. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1478763 United States 10/03/2011 02:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | HOLY SHIT ... Channel 8 is still live in their reporting now @ 1:10PM, they are saying this company made many of the chemicals (over 100 various compounds is what is being stated in report) and that some of these are what is used in the vast BARNETT SHALE GAS FRAKING industry ... which is a huge deal around here. This is freaking me out bigtime as there are lots of very scary issues we've been hearing from experts regarding the Fraking chemicals... Some companies don't want the actual components of their specific chemicals revealed due to competition, blah blah and yet experts & EPA & Texas Environ In one presentation at Ft Worth City Council recently, experts from TCEQ (Texas Commission Evironmental Quality) were there to give information about what they knew regarding what was being used, etc. That if one of the chemical "fraking" trucks were to crash / leak on any interstate or other major roadway then leak the chemicals, then that portion of the highway would have be shut down permanently and new route established around it as these chemicals are that dangerous. The use of the fraking chemicals being forced into deep into the ground & used to disintegrate the rock strata in the shale rock formations (along w/ explosives) has been very controversial issue in this region & I do know some stuff about this topic as been going to some of the public hearings & City Council meetings in Ft Worth. Channel 8 news was talking w/ a Doctor Weinstien (sp) at Presbyterian Hospital in North Dallas regarding how this smoke is so black because it is heavy in Petroleum chemicals. They are showing more explosions right now and showing this on the helicopter camera ... Now channel 8 is talking how the DPS State Troopers have been instructed to put on their haz-mat suits and yet other officials are not geared out = confusion about just what the public should be doing. Okay, now they are talking w/ lady in neighborhood by a nursing home , not as close to this plant .. she has just been told by police to evacuate house now. Friend just called, says there was report on another Dallas channel just now that the fire may burn for days, that also they are seeing that the smoke plume is now spreading outwards + some of the smoke may start to go into regions that are to west also, towns like Mansfield & Burleson southeast/south of Ft Worth ... ============================ 1:42 PM CDT: BREAKING NEWS RIGHT NOW ON CHANNEL 8 LIVE ... A CIVIL EMERGENCY IS NOW DECLARED FOR ELLIS COUNTY + IN SOUTH DALLAS AREA DESOTO SCHOOLS & CITY ARE NOW SHUTTING DOWN. {{ HOLY CRAP ]] NOW SAYING THAT THEY ARE ADVISING ANY PEOPLE IN THE REGIONS DOWNWIND OF THIS FIRE WHERE SMOKE IS OVERHEAD OR APPROACHING TO NOW EVACUATE THEIR HOMES IF THEY CAN DO SAFELY "COVER MOUTHS & NOSE" AS EXIT THE BUILDING TCEQ IS RIGHT NOW ARRIVING ON SCENE ...
