im 20 miles from kansas border..... it hit us about 30 min ago... woke me up.

look on the bright side, they don't need to worry about any mountain sides sloughing off into townships.

Well, USGS is rumored to "downgrade" a LOT... not sure if it's correct, but here it says it was a 5.6!

yeah! It probably sounds weird to people in like California but that was REALLY unnerving! I have never, before today, felt the earth under me unstable! WOW!

And the low rumble......sounded like the earth was growling!

Strange - KS here and we have had wind all day but right before I realized it was an earthquake I did hear alot of wind and thought that the wind was picking up.

Wow....my daughter lives in NW Arkansas and I was on the phone with her when it happened. She started yelling, 'MOM, I think we're having a quake, crap!' Her entire house was shaking pretty bad. This one being larger than the one that struck earlier Saturday morning is what is concerning.

5.6 quake rattles Oklahoma

According to the USGS, the earthquake that struck at 10:53 p.m. Saturday has been upgraded to a magnitude 5.6. The epicenter is four miles east of Sparks, Okla. in Lincoln County, 21 miles northeast of Shawnee.

Crazy thing to contemplate, but it seems as if the pressures that would normally be let off on the west coast are now releasing in the mid west. Brings to mind edgar C's premonition. I don't really believe anything like that would happen, but it makes you skip a beat thinking about it.
