My guess is that they were about to cook it. The proper way to kill the animal is to shoot it or slit it's neck. The guy's jumping up and down laughing are fools, and will regret the way they acted after watching. Not really a puppy throwing moment here folks.

Most animals are killed in a swift, humane fashion. That isn't remotely a humane way to kill any creature.

To slaughter quickly and give as little pain as possible is one thing. This was brutality 'for fun', not swift killing for food.

Most of us would prefer not to eat than to subject another living creature to such abuse.

That is the most humane way , it only takes a few seconds for the animal to go unconscious . And if the right blade is used , they do not even feel it .

They have knives. dinner set knives. the kids slit the throat just under the bottom jaw. very little bleeding and very time consuming.

It's their "law" to do it like that. We asked why it takes so long and they say so the animal can rest.

If these are the kind of men the US is turning out, the country is in a lot worse shape than I had originally thought. Just remember,this guy's gonna be coming home soon and many more like him. You people would never make it on a farm. A pummel to the head is not an uncommon way to take out an animal (followed by bleeding it out). However, this vid is not typical. A ram has a head made to take a hit and should not be taken out this way if one wants a clean, fast kill.
