praying throughout the day. I pray mostly to Mary,
and I'll include asking for wisdom, guidance and right action for those caring for your daughter and granddaughter.
Please be strong and positive.
Positive vibrations and visualizations are so important.
Visualize your grandaughter gaining strength and breathing
without assistance. Our family went through a similar situation and all turned out well in the long run.
Babies are fighters.
It is especially distressing to see an infant in such a helpless situation.

UPDATE !!!

Jaleah is holding her own. I was up at the hospital with her today. All the tests have come back negative so far. Her breathing rate is still way too high.

I am sorry that I did not get back to all of you sooner, but there seems to be a glitch in this system. My ISP has been banned, even though I am on a trial upgrade. I hope the admins can straighten this up soon. I have to use the other daughters computer and system. I am having trouble using this laptop, as I am used to using the old PC.

Prayers for you and your beloved Grand baby....my son never had Grandparents that cared for him , and so your Thread touched my heart. She is a blessed child with people such as you in her life.

I will post another update tomorrow afternoon. My daughter should be getting out of the hospital either late tomorrow, or monday, depending on how she is doing. Jaleah is going to be in the hospital for quite a while.Once her breathing stays at around 60 for a couple of days, they will try to feed her a bottle. They have a feeding tube in her right now, as with her rapid breathing, she could aspirate any formula by mouth.
Please pray that her breathing normalizes !!!

OP have they done a chest xray and checked for pneumothorax, it usually goes away after a week or so? Also transient tachypnea, usually common in c section babies, baby breathes faster to compensate oxygen for the fluid still being absored. Hope she gets better!

So sorry to hear such a joyful event has been so filled with unexpected difficulties and worry for you all.
