Theree was NO ICE associated with this storm, it was rain suddenly changing to snow with high winds, There was NO accumulation of ice. Explain how snow snaps poles. I lived in the St Lawrence valley for 16 years and never saw a single power line or pole snapped by accumulations of snow.
