Voter Suppression - Why On Earth Would People NOT Have I.D. Anyway?

i would really like to hear some answers to this, i haven't heard one person (in msm) ask HOW exactly being required to show valid i.d. is "suppressing the vote"

Because they are:
1) Illegal aliens
2) Felons
3) Dead
4) Insane

In other words, Democrats.

so if anything, requiring valid i.d. would cut down on fraudulent voting you'd think.

If you drove to the polling place, you have a photo ID. Any 16 year old kid can get a driver's license which is a phtoto ID. You don't have to be rich to get one and almost every adult in the country carries one around with them every day for driving, buying with credit cards, and even paying cash for beer at the local convenience store.

All the class warfare crap about it is nothing more than 100% political bullshit from race and class baiting shills.

When the nation was founded you couldn't vote unless you were a white male land owner. Now, no-one is limited by race, gender, or level of wealth. It is not at all unreasonable to simple ask that you verify that you are a United States citizen.

I just don't get the msm language of referring to having to show valid i.d. to vote as "suppression" or being "disenfranchised"

In the past month I have been asked for a photo ID at a bank (to make a deposit), and at a doctor's office.

I hope it is a push to hinder identity theives.

Oh yea, I showed an ID to vote Tuesday. They also matched my signature to the sample in their book. That's better than the purple ink they use in Iraq.

I think it should be "mandatory" to fork over your I.D to vote...PERIOD!

I figured it was something they were doing to help prevent voter fraud which actually made sense to me. But I see Al Sharpton and others all fired up about how blacks and minorities are being disenfranchised by having to show valid i.d. I wish someone would say, "How, exactly? What is the reason they don't have i.d.? Are these people also not cashing checks, not flying, not driving...?"

I agree. I was just curious on others' thoughts on why/how it is being spun as suppression

Sure it is to prevent voter fraud to show ID to vote.

I was speaking in general about all the other times we are asked for ID and the possible reasons.

How is requiring a valid i.d. treating the Hispanic and Latino popuplation any different than anyone else? Caucasians and Asians must also show valid i.d.
And this guy doesn't think there is any such thing as an illegal human being? We are ALL legal citizens of every country? Then I can go vote for Pacquiao when he runs for president of Philippines right?

You make a good point. last weekend i had to show my i.d. to a park attendant to buy a day pass for parking in the area.

They want the illegals to be able to vote without having any proof of them voting is what it boils down to.

You'd be surprised how many people share I.D.'s - especially with similar looking family members, especially sisters/brothers, and cousins. Even with photos, people age, change their hair style or color - so it's easy to say, that's me in an "old" photo before I changed my hair style/hair color/lost-gained 10 pounds. Last time I was at DMV they took my photo, but mailed my new driver's license with the same old photo that's now close to a decade old. Where a state's Medicaid has emergency room visit limits (to encourage families to take their children to a doctor or clinic), they just falsify who the child is and use a sibling's or cousin's card - blissfully ignorant of the dangers developing in the medical records.

You are right, OP - it doesn't make any sense. The only people this ascertainment of minority suppression makes sense to are the minorities that milk the race card for entitlements, sympathy, and affirmative action.

It's hard for them to acquire I.D.s because doing so is taking responsibility for oneself as a citizen. They have been trained that they need not have any responsibility. The gov't will provide all of the Section 8 housing, food stamps, abortions, methadone, and cell phones they want. All they need to do is stay irresponsible to keep the gravy train flowing.

They will never vote for any person who speaks about personal responsibility and the extent to which our Constitution relies upon it. This is why it is so imperative for them to be able to vote without having to spend any money in order to do so. If they are required to buy an I.D. in order to vote, then most of them will opt to buy another 8-ball instead.

Therefore, only slaves can vote for their master.

Not having an ID means you are free to be your own ruler, so long as you do not harm others.
