NEVER EVER Call the Police!!!!! I'm so angry right now I could spit nails!!!!!!

Of all the threads on here today, I thought this one sounded the most interesting and well written. This person is passionate about the fact they were just threatened by police for no reason. You too must be a sexist pig. STFU.

Well, when someone tried to break in the guesthouse, I called the cops and they were friendly and made a report...I told them my oldest son lives there and I have him a 12GA and even though the damage wasn't enough to bother turning in to the INS, I wanted a report made because if they come back and break in while my son is there he's going to cut them in half with the 00 buck in the shotgun...they said OK we'll note that in the report no problem.

You sir, are ABSOLUTELY right! I KNEW this, but, thought, well, you have to file a report, right? My husband and I discussed it, thought that it might not go well because we KNOW how THEY are, but really in the end, we decided that maybe WE were being unfair to THEM. STUPID!!!!
I have FINALLY learned this lesson. I will NEVER call them again for anything!

If you absolutly MUST call the cops for some reason, place a dvr video recorder (small one) in a non conspicious place and do all the talking where it will be recorded. Use the video for your lawsuit or proof you may need. Dakota alert makes a nice little motion activated dvr that has sound and video and is portable and discreet. for about 80 bucks its worth every penny. Carry it in your car too in case you get harrassed on the road. Video doesn't lie (like cops do). In court you can let the cop tell his lies then say well I have video proof and nail him for perjury. Just my advice (besides don't ever call them if you can help it).

I'd call and ask to speak to his superior and complain about his treatment of you. I know we all have to pick our own fights, and I understand if you don't, but sometimes there are bad cops and nobody knows because NO ONE COMPLAINS.

I am old now and one of the most helpful things I have learned along the way is that there is good and bad people out there. It is just the luck of the draw who you come across. I have met some really lovely cops that really care and love their jobs. But have me others that were mean and cruel. Not just cops. Everyone.
It is a sad world sometimes.

Seriously, I already knew not to call them and did it anyway. I just want people to truly understand the ramifications of dealing with them. Often the police can give you such a hard time and make your life so miserable that so many are too scared sh**less to complain, which is entirely understandable.

Wow. I assumed you were a man, and the cop was doing his pissin on the tyre thing. But a woman! He really has some problems. Or maybe just having a bad day, like another poster said.

When the hell did we start giving people a pass for "having a bad day?" Doens't work in the office. Shouldn't work on the street for a guy carrying a taser, a billy club, and a gun.

Just adding balance because you are off balance...I have had many dealings with police and they have never treated me like that...so after watching all the "police brutality" videos and how people are dick heads to the police, and how you attacked me before I even posted anything, I can't say I blame them for giving you shit.

Actually, I might have made a complaint, but for a few reasons, I'm moving here shortly and really, really wanted to keep my head down, second, it probably wouldn't do anything but aggravate the situation, and thirdly, I really don't think we have too much 'normal' left anyway. He will probably get whatever it is that he deserves if and when tshtf.

Cops are suck assholes with big powertrip problems.

yeah, that's why I said to pick your own fights. I had to do this once. I was harrassed by a state trooper and I knew it was wrong. I called and complained to his Superior - and guess what? He apolgized, told me the Trooper was out of place and that he would have a talk with him. I believe him because the Trooper was going to make EVERYBODY look stupid or the force in trouble if he kept doing what he did to me. They get enough complaints on some of these guys and their superiors know something is wrong and either give them a desk job or a transfer or some anger management training. Doesn't always work, but worth a try.

Also, if you ever have a run in with this officer again, he might treat you the same way, or worse, and there will be no record that you ever had a problem with him in the past. These guys COUNT on us not speaking up.

My cop story: I was working on a restoration project, an old RV, in my front yard.
I was underneath the RV replacing an air bag when I here this voice telling me, really yelling at me to get my ass out from underneath the RV.
Well lo and behold there was this miniature cop standing there with a ticket he wanted me to endorse with my signature. Said I was in violation of some bone headed law in El Paso about parking RV's on you own driveway.
Long story short, cost me $500.00 in fines and now there is a never ending line of city inspectors and police visiting my house on an almost daily basis.

Moral of the story, never ever, call a miniature cop miniature!
