The failed North American Rift is coming back to life cause Chandlers Wobble has been off set and Earth's axis is shifting. These are the signs to look out for. The tell tale signs of an Axis Shift and or Pole Shift;

Watch for an increase in:

Sudden large rogue waves in new places
Sudden Hurricanes in unusual places
Sudden tornadoes out of season
More extremes in drought, heavy rains, out of season snows, flooding, severe storms
Booms, methane flashes, odd underground whomping sounds
Disrupted cell phone, television and radio signals
Unusual animal behavior, disrupted migration patterns
Unusual increases in violent behavior in human beings
Increasingly severe earthquakes
Rising Sea Levels
Storm surge on coastlines with no storm apparent

Throughout much of the central United States, younger sedimentary rocks conceal the craton. But in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota — as well as throughout much of Canada — it is well-exposed.

If you notice in the picture, the failed North American Craton rift runs right through Wisconsin and right through the town of Clintonville. IMHO it is most likely starting to crack in sections under Clintonville, Wisconsin explaining the sounds these folks are hearing. They say the sound is coming from underneath their feet and not too far down. Well if you read above, in that area of Clintonville, the craton is well exposed and not very deep.

If you notice the shape of the North American Craton, you can see that it borders states that have had an increase in seismic activity. Like VA, CO, TX, AR etc...

1.1 Billion Years Ago – A Near Rift

North America narrowly escaped a fate that has befallen other continents: splitting apart, or rifting. About 1.1 billion years ago, from what is now Kansas to the shores of Lake Superior, the craton began to split. Had this rifting continued, North America would have become two continents separated by a new ocean basin. But after 20 million years, the rifting ceased. The failed rift is 2,000-km (1,200-mi) long. Huge volumes of basaltic magma welled up, creating a stack of igneous rocks 25-km (15.5-mi) thick. Their strong magnetic signals enabled scientists to determine the extent of the rift.

Has this rifting woken up? That is the question here and from these reports it is my opinion that it probably has. Big changes are coming.

The North American Craton is on the move again. That area of Wisconsin is right on top of the failed RIFT. That area is going to sink onto itself when that rift decides to open up, which in this case appears to be doing so. These sounds are the 1st indicators of such.

All my life I was interested in the Big New Madrid Quake. I could find little about it for L Superior, Some seche activity in L Michigan and finally found an elder in Walpole Isl. Reservation (near Detroit) whose grandmother had told her where all the giant turtle shells on the island came from: that the water quaked and shook and smells came and the giant turtles swam up since the bottem was disturbed. Some were captured for food.

All our prophecies are on the last page...as are many of the Native american tribes' prophecies.

I've heard the booms in Michigan. I have no doubt that its opening up.

So I'm a big fail and I haven't read the entire thread yet... but I just wanted to say:

1. Nice catch, very intriguing. My "specialty" is Great Lakes geology, and I think it's awesome that you thought of this as a possibility.

2. I have to wonder if it's not so much the rift "waking up", as it could be stresses from isostatic post-glacial adjustment from the last ice age. The crust that was suppressed from the glaciers is still rebounding to this day. For example, the CN tower has been rising in measurable increments over the years, as the Canadian shield returns to its previous state of gravitational equilibrium. Perhaps some of that stress has built up in the failed rift, thus experiencing some slippage between the two would-be "arms" of the rift?

I'm not saying you're wrong, I just wanted to throw that possibility out there, and if someone has already mentioned this, my apologies, I'll have more time to read through later.

It's been millions of years since this thing moved and it looks like it's way over due.

I wonder if I am somehow feeling this stuff. I just posted a thread about feeling like I'm on a ship. Like the land is swaying on water!

Just saw a piece on Fox news about the Clintonville booms. New audio and you can hear the "booms" well.
They are saying the USGS has finally said it is earthquakes causing the sounds.
Craton on the move, imho.
