Journalists have always had a bit of protection in any war because people know they're just there to document.

well people and society as a whole are going crazy. cops are just people. so it doesnt surprise me to hear about this stuff anymore. i dont think cops are immune to whatever is happening to us and the world.

He was in his own front yard.... the cops were in the process of beating and arresting a black kid out i the street who the photographer didn't know. As the photographer was receiving his beating the cop told him thats what you get for trying to help a N1@@ er ... I know this because I know them...

Im surprised their mothers, sisters, aunts and grandmothers aren't down there with Bullhorns, you know shining their lights and telling them what kind of low lives they are, and that they wont even allow them near their children again, they aren't real men and can go to the corner and paint some big fat zeros on their heads and look at their navels and chant, O WAT AN ASS AM I! For 20 years or more, and they are timed out, that they SHAME their ancestors, they SHAME their matriarchs, they SHAME their nations.

A family member called me the night this happened she was distraught not only because he was beaten so badly ( the article doesn't go into detail but he was beaten BADLY) but also because the cop said, referring to the other kid as a *racist reference* . Apparently it is not only illegal to be black in this country it is also illegal to be white and stand up about the injustice shown toward the blacks.

You're last statement is so right on.

After having grown up (tried to anyway) in a very white, prejudiced neighborhood in Chicago, I lived in L.A. from mid 20's to about 42, where my best friend was black. What an eye opener. I was, and still am, amazed. If you haven't experienced it, you'll never get it from TV or the news or the corner bar. The bigotry towards blacks starts on them from day one in their life and no matter how good of a person they are, or how hard they work, it follows them through life.

I saw how my buddy's two young kids were treated and attitudes thrown at them from before they were old enough to walk. The "kids" are grown now and both work in computers, and one owns his own business. Dad worked his ass off sometimes working three jobs, to raise them and put them through school and it's remarkable how they grew up to be such smart, cool people, with no prejudice themselves.

Another crazy thing is the way I was treated when we hung out together. I worked hard and owned a 4 bedroom house and police were always playing games following us and staring us down. People would follow us around stores. We waited forever in lines. My friend was even thrown in jail coming home from work one night for being a "gang banger" because the tail light was out on his VW.

Hate damn bigots. They're the only thing I'm prejudiced against.

What really pisses me off about these incidents is that police throw a dozen charges against a person, knowing they are false charges, but to cover their asses for their illegal activities. Then they offer to drop some of the (false) charges if they don't press charges for the crimes committed against them by the out of control thugs with badges.

The technology has existed for some time now on cell phone for you to be able to upload the video in real time to a server, and prevent the video from being destroyed. You can upload to youtube and qik instantly as the video is being made.

..And what good would it do, they'd just charge some BS felony for "hindering by recording."

Cops are a street gang, upper middle class whites support them, and all these BS laws.

One of these day the little guy is going to wake up and see how those words on a page are put there to keep him and his children a slave.

Cops, Governance, all this BS is an illusion. They Rule by force.

No words on a page will ever stop this sort of attack, they Cops never do any time. If he had done the same thing to the Cop, he'd be in for 20 and all know it, all.
