Yeppers, methinks I'm bonded to you guys, is some way, that may be weird, or not, but- I'd love to meet you in person, in the flesh, heh heh, and I'm praying that it will happen.
Is there another get-together being planned?
If it fits in with my timing, I'd like to go to that, too :)

I still don't know how the money will come, but I'm working on it

never short on ideas, that's for sure, and I have to say I'm being very well looked after, by my Lord, the Christ Jesus,
so if he wants me to take the trip, I'm sure the money will materialize (it's happened before, when I wanted to go to the Philippines).


This guy with the car...I suspect he's unreliable, so don't think I want to rely on the wine-tour idea.
I have a lot of land around me, my latest idea is to grow vegetables for a 'salad pack' and sell them locally, and I'm gluing shells onto mirrors, to sell, and also worm-farms.

The worm farm sounds interesting, but I've always been partial to owning a flea circus. It's an itch I haven't scratched, but the thought of a paper clip high wire traversed by a peg-legged flea appeals to me. Forget a better mousetrap, build a ruddy fine flea circus and the world beats a path to your door.

Johnny where the hell you been? Saw hynea clip on the "best punk" thread and it made me smile. Nicely done.

The thread was pretty disappointing and simply listed the usual shit.

And while much can be said for the DKs and X, I was always partial to UK punk -No Wire, Buzzcocks, or Stiff Little Fingers listed that I saw - and I found, with the exception of the hyena, the thread the stuff of Casey Kasam with a safety pin.

Kool - love the seashells around the mirrors! I would love them.

My mom used to glue shells around wooden/bamboo buckets and I always thought she should sell them, but she only made them for friends and family - not being very business minded. I still have one - I love it.


Can you collect shells on the beach there? Or do you have to buy them?

That said, the punk thread (I didn't see you on it) was chock full of the usual suspects: Sex Pistols, Clash, Ramones, etc.

Not saying the above aren't of note (especially the late Joe Strummer and the Clash), but it was a pretty mainstream rendering of all things punk. Like an intro class: Punk 101. Buy the book and wear Elvis Costello glasses and you're sure to get an "A" after watching the detectives in a strategically torn t-shit.

I've also been gluing shells onto terracotta pots, painted a deep Mediterranean blue, I usually plant bright red geraniums in them, most have gone to family as presents, though I did intend to sell them, haha.

There's lots of shells on the beaches here, the bit of collecting that happens is minimal, so there's been no shortage and no threat to any eco-system, but I guess that's kinda rare in the world these days..
