For awhille now I have felt like something happened to me when I was very young that I can't remember which has had it's part in making me who I am. Or I could be totally wrong. It could be as simple as the "normal" abuse I faced my whole life.....

hmm....I feel like there was no one specific event that shaped who you are. But with that said....when you say "normal abuse" it is not normal. That abuse which you speak of which has occured your whole life has had a hand in creating a lot of personal guilt, and lack of self esteem. But that is not who YOU are. That is all a product of not dealing with the abuse, or your feelings regarding the abuse.

Thank you. I do know it's not normal. But have never dealt with it by seeing someone. I guess I've always figured life could be worse. I'm also bad about getting anything done. I almost completely lack motivation. No matter how much I tell myself I need to fo something it never happens. I just go on with daily life and deal with the problem when it finally hits me. I don't really even know what I'm searching for right now. I guess I'm just numb and sick of being numb. At this point I'd rather feel sadness rather than nothing at all.

I honestly got the same feeling. Why would you think your not worth it??? Your such a beautiful person, dont let anything let you think otherwise. As far as your past, parent issues maybe? Could be the reason why your love isnt as powerful as it should be.

OP, soon after you turn 29, there will be a creepy guy that offers you a lift outside of a nightclub. Even though the guy is creepy, you are drunk and horny and you accept his offer, despite your better judgement. He takes you to his dodge charger, you enter, and he drives off.

You realise that he is not going your way and start to think it's a trap, but he is driving way too fast for you to bail out and he looks too strong for you to attack him, so you hope for the best.

He comes screeching to a halt in a remote clearing where there is a large bonfire. As you get out of the car you notice there are lots of rough looking people. You know you cannot make a run for it, and even if you could, you don't know where you are.

No it doesn't. Thanks though. I don't mess with men. Been with the same one for five years.and before that wAsnt one to sleep around. I'm prettygod at reading people and always knew what someones real intentions were.

The first thing that we need to discuss is your self acceptance. Many of your reactions are based on your idea that you're unworthy, that everything wrong with the world is your fault, and any unhappiness in anyone around you is also your fault.

The situation is not helped by your parents. Are they not divorced or broken up?

It seems to me that the childhood incident is not so much an incident as a series of them.

I suspect that you need to discuss your parents. One of them blamed relationship problems on your presence?

That's what I'm getting out of it all. And although you weren't old enough to consciously understand, your subconscious absorbed this idea that your very existence creates a problem.

You may be able to free yourself from this debilitating believe with affirmations and exercises in self-love (not arrogance, mind you, just appreciating what's good about you instead of your obsessive focus on what you consider to be flaws).

Yes. My mom was pretty screwed up and still is. She has major mental issues. Possible personality disorder. My aunt says she started spanking me around two or three. My first real memories were when I was in second grade on....and they werent spankings anymore. It was punching smacking and hair pulling which evolved into punching kicking biting. The worst was the mental abuse. I could have dealt with the beatings if she woulda just kept her mouth shut. It's been a few years since she out her hands on me...last time was when iwas 22 and pregnant. She punched me in the head. When my parents were going thru their five year divorce she verbally abused my brother and I with thousands of phone calls. I cut her off for awhile so it stopped. But even with all that I'm not "sad" I hardly ever cry. I'm just a numb person. I hardly feel anything. It's like the only emotion I "feel" is anger when bad things happen. I'm very good at ignoring bad things or things that bother me. At this point it's automatic it's like my brain kicks the bad shit happening out and I focus on other things. Like I said earlier at this point I'd rather be depressed and sad not numb. This isn't what this post was originally for but it was nice sharing even if no ones reading.

This is probably best response I've gotten. The first time it was said out loud that their problems were cuz of me was in seventh grade. The didn't separate tho till six years later. I've always felt the my mom resented me cuz she had me before she finished nursing school and never went back. But as an adult I have realized it's not my fault as ive come to understand her mental problems. She blames everything on everyone else. She even has totally forgotten about the physical abuse. She remembers what she wants to remember. Hell she even has made up memories that she totally believes. I saw at a young age that stories changed a lot. I do need to work on loving myself because I don't at all. It's hard to explain tho how I work. Its like it's hard wired into me to just do the same shit everyday...like to just get on with life and I don't like doing things different. I know I need help but won't seek it cuz it will cut into y daily life and I don't know how to get past that

You cannot be fixed by an outside source. You can change your life with simple exercises you do while doing other things.

Thank you for your insight I really appreciate it. Maybe this was my first step towards getting better. It's weird but I hear more when it's coming from people I don't know.

sounds like your mother was abused also OP- just raise your own children in your own way and set yourself free, be the better future

your with a man and still within that falling in love timing feeling yet you do not feel that "in love" feeling? (sounds like it anyway), perhaps he only adds to the wrong set of feelings you need, deserve?

anyhow this world is so messed up it would be hard to find anyone that doesnt feel numb once in awhile - maybe you should move? maye you should move closer to the ones who are more truthfull and deal with things better?

She was not abused by her parents. She has two sisters to vouch for that. They say around seven years old she started acting this way. And I don't feel that in love feeling. I've always had this thing of wanting what I can't have and when I have it I don't want it anymore. The best relationship I ever had wasn't ever a real relationship..as weird as that sounds. We dated for like four years off and on and I loved that feeling of always wondering if he really wanted me or not...and often still think of him and have started having lots of dreams about him. It's driving me nuts. As far as moving...the only place I could imagine moving to is a place I grew up going to every summer every weekend at lake norfork. But I'm afraid if I move there i will lose the feeling I get when I visit there that gives me a sense of relief peace and safety. I wish I could go there now with no boyfriend and no kids just me myself and I. But I won't do that cuz I'll feel guilt. I already work 72 hours a week (caregiver) from wednesday morning till ssaturday morning with four days off in between. I figure I get plenty of alone time at work but it's stuck In a house with a man with alzheimers who doesn't know who I am.

Anyone that knows anything about how physic ability works would know you generally need to be in close proximity to the person ESPECIALLY if you have never met the person. So this blind asking of a reading with no information about yourself at all is just asking for a horde of trolls and lunatics that believe they have power to come swarming at you. You need to go to a local Palm Reader and see if they are legit and if they can reference you to someone more powerful. Your going to be charged higher for the real physics but this stuff isn't easy at all to do.

I do understand this. And I understood it when I started the thread. And I also know that no one here gave me a true "psychic" reading. I put out a lot about myself and they gave me their interpretations and advice and I'm thankful for it. I was mostly curious in seeing what people had to say which then turned into a little therapy session lol and it was nice. And I only saw a few trolls respond and I actually expected more.

You seem like a descent fellow just looking for a path. The psychic path is a wonderful path but is also full of Disinformers and a lot of people put to much hollywood into it. The truth is everyone has the ability it's just no one understands what it is they have. Everyone's experience is different with this when they search for it but the beautiful part about it is that to unlock the key all you have to do is willfully search yourself and have an open mind. Once that happens you won't believe the kind of things you will start to sense in people and in all life forms around you. I don't know where you live but if you get up around 9 in the morning on a 70-75 degree day and go sit under a tree and really search yourself for that warm light beacon inside your soul it will give you a very good jump start into this beautiful world. You can look at anything even inanimate objects and feel their energy. Eventually you can borrow some of this energy and let it flow through you and back out again. You never want to keep the energy for yourself because you will be shutout very quickly if you do that. Anyway that's my brief talk about this stuff for the day.
