What kind of mental disorder do people have who choose to have a pet cat over a pet dog?

Yep, The effects on males and females vary but I've read it this parasite can either: Make men less fearful, brash or brave, leading to dangerous situation like road accidents. For women it can cause depression with inconclusive research linking it to increased risk of suicide or similar self-directed violence. Also mutually both men and women can suffer increased risks of other health problems.

For those who don't know- look up wiki. I thought it was interesting how little attention was put to it considering the prevalence of cats in our society. I'm probably infected with it but as far as i read into it it seems like it's not easy to receive treatment for it, as there is one, for some reason. It feels like an conspiracy to me, considering its behavioral impacts.

Cats are not supposed to be indoor animals- They should not defecate in litter bins as it is how toxoplasmosis is transmitted- through feces when the bin is touched by hand or through the cat walking on the floor with toxoplasmosis contaminated paws.

I personally feel dogs and cats are equal, different types of pets for different types of people.

my 2 cats keep my property free of rodents, and they are blood thirsty little hunters who absolutely shred apart their pray (mice,moles,rabbits,birds,bats), i swear my 2 cats are psychotic!

As i type this, i have a staffy lying across my legs on the couch, a german shepard in front of me, and a cat behind my head.

Had both dogs and cats growing up. both are trully awesome animals for their own reasons. Dogs are much more time demanding and require. a lot of patience (you can tell an incredible amount about people from their pets personalities, dogs tell you almost everything).

Lots of pros and cons about both.
is one better then the other? Not by a long shot. forget the positives, the negatives put them both so far behind there is NO coming back!

Actually I would choose just about any animal over a dog. Dogs are worthless, noisy, shit machines and probably the most unclean animals on planet Earth. I can see where people might NEED them around to perform tasks but I can't understand why anyone would actually WANT them around unnecessarily. Filthy, filthy, stupid animals!

Cats don't kill human babies in the house, like dogs do.

I will say this, I've had both too and cats are pretty cool, but dogs are much cleaner as far as no litter etc, and I hate cats now because of the smell they create, and the way they 'spray' yuck.

The disorder is called pussy galore syndrome, it has to do with wanting at least one pussy by your side at all times....well at least the mens disorder is called that.

I don't have a cat because I live in the city. I wouldnt own a cat unless it was free to roam both outdoors and indoors, and the city isn't a safe place for a cat to roam.

My roommate however has a cat, indoor only. The stupid thing scratches the shit out of my furniture and always knocks everything over. The one small cat is entirely more destructive than my three dogs combined.

Dogs are for empty people that want and need unconditional love or have something missing in their lives. You actually have to pay attention to a cat for a cat's respect.

Actually, unlike dog owners, they actually are quite healthy. Dog owners have a narcissistic personality disorder since they depend on an animal which by nature is so devoted to its owner. Cats are not like this. In fact, just the opposite, they want all the attention given to them.

I wouldn't be w/o a cat - we would have way too many tick-infested ground squirrels without our cat. My husband caught a bad dose of Lyme's once and we don't need that again.

A cat is a much better companion for apartment living than a dog. To force a dog to live in a small apartment is pretty cruel.

Why can't a person just like both?
