Jurassic Park experiment a success after 500 million-year bacteria bought back to life
The researchers have resurrected a 500-million-year-old gene and inserted it into a modern E Coli bacteria. The 'Frankenstein' germ has thrived. In the lab, the creation has now lived through 1,000 generations.

Bad comparison is bad.

They didn't use DNA, they mimicked the organelles from the original ancient species.

This '500 million-year' bacteria is just a modern genetically modified variant.

Why would they put it into the E-Coli bacteria that is known to kill humans?!
Baffling.

Ecoli is used for growing lots of othe bacteria and genes etc because it grows well. It has been used that way for yous, As far as E coli killing people, Escherichia coli in a bacteria that naturall lives in your body and it make people sick if it leaves its natural habitat in your gastro intestinal tract. E coli O157 H7 is a strain of bacteria that is now to make people extremely sick, but death is only common if left untreated

They just put it out in plain sight exactly what they plan to do to us.

Imagine combining something ancient or a modern version of it, for which we would have NO IMMUNITIES, AND combine it with ecoli and publish this proudly.

The most overused phrase on GLP...

"And so it begins..."

NOTHING has begun...at all. Until I see a Tyrannosaurus Rex walking through downtown New York, there's nothing to see.

watching the "run up" to the elections and the "hopes and dreams" that are built as a result is like watching a dead mouse that is still able to make his exercise wheel go around because his nerves are still twitching that familiar motion...
