Fear is what is causing this. Fear of dying, fear of not being able to protect yourself, fear of the unknown, fear that you will not be able to buy a gun in the future.. fear, fear and more fear. I'm sure that is some common sense mixed into it all, but there is a whole lot of fear... and even more fear from whomever will eventually have that gun pointed at them. I'm not anti-gun, too many of my family members are hunters and gun collectors. I'm just being logical.

If you don't own a gun, and have never owned one, and this past week you decided you "NEED" one, then you most likely were motivated by fear in one way or another.

there's so many guns and so much ammo out there, it'd be next to impossible to ever collect all of them. you'd basically have to starve the masses, and then offer them food in exchange for guns.

I support gun rights. However, I agree in a sense. What if this is all part of the plan. We think it's about gun control now... but what if they want everyone to want guns. Then once that happens we will have more gun related accidents due to un-educated gun holders. Which in turn will turn the publics opinion.

Make the public do the work.... interesting?

Maybe they want to arm the public so we can kill eachother in a race war that they create? Who knows!

Whoa there OP, I support guns 100%. I've been to shooting ranges, hunting, etc. I'm on your side, friend. I'm just saying with this surge in gun purchases I hope there is not a surge in those select few retards who think they know how to handle a gun and cause a horrible accident... say cleaning them while loaded for example. You know as well as I do, a gun is only as safe as the person who holds it.

Maybe instead of restricing guns maybe we need to enforce more education? However I'm not sure if that would help much. You can educate somebody all day but they won't follow through unless they want to. Or not at all if they are not smart enough to retain what they have learned... which is going to happen in some cases. LOL, think of all the classmates you have ever had.. Just because they are receiving an education, does not mean they are using it.

In the case of colorado, people are terrified so they will do what they think will protect them. But in the end after the fear subsides and their senses come back they will come to a different conclusion about guns.

I grew up with guns, so I learned from a young age the very important rules to handling or owning a gun.

With that said, the more guns we have as a public, the more children grow up around them and learn from a young age the importance of safety and the right to own firearms.
