The image in this link distinctly shows what looks like a road zig zagging to the top of the Gale crater, reflecting the light...

Looking at the scene, "you would really be forgiven for thinking that NASA was trying to pull a fast one on you and we actually put a rover out in the Mojave Desert and took a picture," complete with "a little L.A. smog coming in there," quips John Grotzinger, a researcher at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena and the Mars Science Laboratory mission's project scientist.

HAHAHAHAH OMG

They've admitted it. Passed off as a joke, but nonetheless, admitted it.

Re: NASA Mars rover image - why am I looking at a road?
if mars has an atmosphere then why didnt nasa just send a human/humans there to check the place out ? we sent humans to the moon in a heart beat and the moon is much more hostile environment than mars . to my knowledge rockets on a parachute would not work unless there is oxygen and a paachute would not work fullstop if there was not air for the chute to catch and slow the craft down.

I think it's time NASA do the job they are claiming they do and put a live feed camera in some location with the possibility of intellectual design. All this looking for microbes is bullshit it's time to discover Cydonia and answer that question.

+1

There are SO MANY massively anomalous sites on Mars, and all that NASA does is send rovers to scratch rocks, and dig around in the dirt.

They should start with that "spaceport" in Candor Chasma.

[link to i127.photobucket.com]

Or maybe at Tithonia.

Where can I get the original image from that "spaceport" in Candor Chasma?

You're all a bunch of sad nerds. Go tell your friend(s) (maybe) about your findings and get laughed back into your pathetic doom caves.

Before the mission was even announced you idiots disclaimed it. Just because you're too stupid to understand the actual capabilities of the space program doesnt mean its inconcievable.

Calling me a shill only further proves how ignorant you all are.

Why are you guys so keen to say NASA missions are fake? There's no purpose to fake a NASA mission right now. We're not in a space race with anyone, so there's no one to intimidate. Even if so, why does NASA gain from the public by faking Mars missions? You people.

Obviously the result or wind based erosion, and compacting of sedimentary type, nice try though.

Whats the deal with the hazy atmosphere? I was pretty sure there was not one on Mars, minus the methane pockets protruding from the caverns. Does it not have a blue hue to it as well, suggesting light refraction off a certain gas?

It's called photoshop. Adding mountains from the mohave, onto the desert sand from Nevada.

NASA is trying to make it harder for us to find matching photos on google.
