Anonymous Coward User ID: 22288516 United States 08/20/2012 02:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If you are happy being one of the 40% of Americans that doesn't pay income tax at the end of the year then you'll probably be happy with this. If you are a maker and not a taker, or if you want to be a successful American, read on, this is sure to piss you off. Quoting: Cpt. Spaulding 4483569 Obama just announced at the White House press briefing that when congress comes back from recess he wants them to pass a $3000 credit for every homeowner that hasn't refinanced their home yet. - no web link yet as this is breaking. Keep in mind, $3000 is on top of the $3000 he wants to give everyone to buy 'thingamajigs' (see link). Anyone who can't see he is intentionally trying to destroy our economic system is blind or bought off. If his motives were really to help fuel the American recovery he'd attach a provision to all that 'free' money stipulating that: 1. The $3000 mortgage obamadollars must be used to pay down or refi your mortgage and NOTHING ELSE. In his speech just now he said that money 'could be used to buy a new computer'... which is made in China!!!! WTF go deeper in debt and suggest we use that cash to buy from the Chinese!?! 2. The $3000 'thingamagig' obamadollars should come with a provision that the money is ONLY used to pay down personal debt or put into an age-appropriate long-term savings account that can only be accessed or borrowed against for reasons similar to how a 401k is managed. [link to www.youtube.com] This guy's handlers definitively have us on the fast track to self destruction... I have no personal debt but I will personally buy $3,000 worth of gold and put it on a credit card to get my obamadollars. I'll do whatever I can to help kill the beast. I hope I can use my other $3,000 to help buy a .50 cal BARRETT, to help protect my obamagold. The system is going down folks. Grab all you can while you can. |

You get it regardless of whether you paid taxes, so for a lot of folks, the EITC is just glorified welfare. This will be exactly the same. Even if you have no tax liability when you file 2012 taxes, you'll still get a "refund," in the form of this tax credit, all because you own a house, and either haven't wanted to refi, or more likely, can't qualify.
