I live on the Gulf coast in Florida.
I everything I own are things I could careless about because all it takes is one bad storm and I am underwater.

I plan for it. I also plan to fly out of the state if I think a serious storm is approaching.
This is the life I choose for myself right now.

Would I buy a home here ... no way
Would I live in New Orleans ... NFW ever

I don't understand why anyone would want to live in NO. Maybe they should make it a wild life preserve.

But I'm thinking the oil companies want it for what's below NO

martha's vineyard is nice this time of year
cape cod has some nice big houses that could house a lot of displaced people, too

My job can be a first responder at times(ER Nurse). With Katrina, I gave up vacation time and went under the umbrella of the Red Cross to assist. (Red Cross is also under the umbrella of the US Gov. and does require training and certification) My employer also agreed to sponser several employees, including me four several weeks.

Reading these posts, it does take me back. I am not sure, that I would give up my vacation time, if ya'll were in the same disaster. Let FEMA help you and your buds and those not tainted reading posts like these.

I've been a 3rd party voter for many years. Not this time, I kind of blame myself for not voting rep all along.

That is what I am telling my son, a vote for a third party is a vote for Obama, and he must be removed.
