This is not true...I was recently tested at 7.2 and my doc put me on a sugar free and carb reduced diet for 3 months to see if we could get it under 7 without meds. 3 months later I tested at 6.0 without exercise and still eating a good share of carbs. I feel I could drop my sugars to 5 if I really watched what I ate. My doc never diagnosed me with diabetes just said I was eating way to much sugar and carbs. I believe him because I used to drink soda all the time. Now I drink flavored water.

The one time in my life I broke out in a yeast skin rash was when I had been drinking some alkalizing product. I suspected it had thrown off the balance of skin acidity that keeps yeast infections at bay. Haven't used it since.

One mouthful of almost any food provides more bio-available minerals than one would get from tap-water consumption all day.

However, drinking excessive water, or more than feels natural, is not good, and not with distilled either.

For making coffee and cooking though, start with the 100% pure thing, distilled.

Here is a video where you see a solar distiller I built out of copper and glass, which not only provided 10 liters of distilled per day water per day, but also provided hot shower water for a family of 8.

My test were the first 3 month ago and the second 3 weeks ago...

Al contrario,

Distillers do remove all flouride regardless.

What they need venting for is Chlorine and other aromatics.

PLUS,
If you fill your distiller (solar or otherwise) with rose petals and water, and close any vents, you can produce really nice homemade Rose Water.

Distilled water is a solvent. It dissolves some substances more than normal water.

If you are concerned about plastics softeners leeching into your water (some plastics contain chemicals that mimic estrogen and can upset the hormone balance), then your distiller materials which are in contact with the distilled part of the process, should be only stainless steel, glass, and the clear food grade silicone rubber.

Distilled water purchased in plastic bottles usually has a plastic flavor that one notices if they are used to the flavor of distilled that has not touched plastic.

your intelligence never ceases to amaze.. BRIEF HAS BEEN AHEAD OF ME ON THIS ONE no doubt.. but i've been drinking distilled (THE ONLY FORM OF PURE WATER) for years.. i even feed my cat distilled (and occasional mineral water for health purposes)

right... i try explaining to anyone with a pet STOP FEEDING THEM DIRTY TAP WATER.. do you know how long a $1.50 gallon of distilled water goes in little bowls changed once a day or 2?? so sad.. i'm very close with my cat and yes.. once in a while.. i switch up and let her have a decent bottled water... instead for certain minerals.. etc.. but damn.. who the hell drinks unfiltered tap water around me?...

DISTILLED WATER is just water that has been turned to steam and reconstituted WITHOUT anything else except H and 2 O's.

What about the water in dehumidifiers? It's distilled right? Think it's drinkable? My dehumidifier makes 2 gallons of water a day. Usually I just pour it in my washer.

Sounds like Trinity needs to research the best home distillers and run some adverts for those companies.

I dunno, depends on the machine. May be contaminated. I have same thing with AC/dehumidifier yet distill the drinking water. Sucks since the distiller takes 5 HOURS for 1 gal.

Not really. In the dehumidification process it is drawing out impurities and odors in the air along with the water.

If it were double distilled that might work, but it is so easy to distill water using the sun for free.

I Own a water Distiller. You can buy an water distiller for about 125 dollars. It really doesn't cost that much when you caculate in how many gallons of distilled wanter you get from it.

I do drink distilled water from time to time for cleansing reasons.

If i were to show you what is taken out of the tap water you might never drink anything but distilled wanter again.

You can build a perfectly good working solar water distiller that will produce 5 liters per day from the sun, and 15 liters per day if you add a small heating element at night, for under $100 in materials.

That is the description of the one I have been using for the last 2 years. Built very inexpensively but it works just as good as copper and stainless steel units I have built.

I have designs for an even simpler system, if produced in high production, that would be even more economical to produce, produce absolutely pure water, and it would be a patentable and marketable product.

I'm too much of a hippy though so I have not gone through with the design yet after many years.

What I am thinking of would be relatively small modular units that could be feed into each other on a roof,

Many different materials may serve for the reservoir body of a solar water distiller. It is best if those materials are insulating, dark in color, odorless, and obviously water-proof. The glass that the distilled water condenses on is a pure material, no problem. The distiller and glass can be designed just a little narrower at the top than the bottom, so that distilled water does not make contact with or fall down the sides as it falls down along the glass.

The collection trough should be stainless steel, or in the case of my current distiller, the distilled collection trough is copper that I have silver electro-plated.

My tubing and 5 gallon bottle which collects the distilled water are of plastic I am sorry to say, because I have not had the stainless tubing or glass bottle available, but I have not worried about that much.

The typical refillable type 5 gallon plastic bottle is made of the hard kind of plastic which does not use much of the estrogen mimicking softener. The plastic tubing probably does contain that chemical, but it is only two feet long and the water spends very little time in that tubing.

Distilling removes fluoride just like hard minerals in all distilling processes regardless of carbon filters. The carbon filter is good for removing aromatics or things that smell.

Can you explain that again. You pour a few gallons into the dark tank. What kind of tank and lid? Tea pot?
