Totally agree with you. I am 42 and now in a relationship with a woman, age 40, who doesn't want children either. This BS about regretting it later in like at least to me in BS too. Most peoples kids have nothing to do with them in old age except to pack their asses up into an old folk home and wait for them to kick the bucket so they can vulture in on their assets. Many old people get to see what their kids really feel later in life... kicked to the curb. Me? I travel and have a life of fun... and didn't toss 20+ years and hundreds of thousands of dollars down the toilet on a roll of the dice. You have no guarantee your kinds don't turn out to be total shitbags even if you do everything right as a parent. |

Despite I wished to have my own cause I like children at home, I must recognize that the world has changed a lot in the last 30 years in a disappointed way. The education system is lousy, the daily economic struggling harder than ever, the general violence in the world today, drugs, no-moral at all....etc etc i don't want my child to pass through all this drama and suffering, so I enjoy a peaceful life trying to help other the best I can do. pstrusi |

A dad/mother has an automatic stimulating force forcing them to get out of bed every morning. This facilitates life a lot on the mental arena. When you're on your own, you need to decide what to do much more often, which can bring stress. But on the other hand, you lose a lot of freedom. You fall into debt and schedules and unending responsibilities imposed by the 'contract' of marriage. Therefore, if you can find purpose for your life in something else, something more spiritual, I say: do not have kids. |
