Quoting: Chris Hansen i hate criminals, i do not need psychological help. by the sound of it i am more sane than yourself. Says the one who just make a opening post about intrusive thoughts of stabbing people. Your endless folly has failed you yet again. Your idea of the OP holds no sway over the intent of the OP. “The self-confidence of the warrior is not the self-confidence of the average man. The average man seeks certainty in the eyes of the onlooker and calls that self-confidence. The warrior seeks impeccability in his own eyes and calls that humbleness. The average man is hooked to his fellow man, while the warrior is hooked only to infinity.” You need to tone your ego down a few knotches and stop with the messaiah complex. You're ascending down not up. And calling the OP a psychopath is helping you to 'ascend'? Twisting his words around in a self-indulging attempt to mentally beat him down when he is asking for advice is 'ascending'? Do tell me, Mr. Compassion, just how does one 'ascend' down? The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank." The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects. The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard. The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass. |

Say this, "In Jesus Christ's name, I bind and cast out all demon." Before you can command them in Jesus's name, you need to accept Jesus. To to do this, say this prayer sincerely: Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself. Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life. Amen If you just said this prayer and you meant it with all your heart, we believe that you just got saved and are born again. You may ask, "Now that I am saved, what's next?". First of all you need to get into a bible-based church, and study God's Word. Once you have found a church home, you will want to become water-baptized. By accepting Christ you are baptized in the spirit, but it is through water-baptism that you show your obedience to the Lord. Water baptism is a symbol of your salvation from the dead. You were dead but now you live, for the Lord Jesus Christ has redeemed you for a price! The price was His death on the cross. May God Bless You! [link to www.salvationprayer.info] |

Also , we all have "mad" thoughts , I'd say its relatively normal unless it takes over your life , I sometimes walk through town and am laughing to myself because I think it would be funny to either run up to someone and scream at them to make them jump or push some random person....(but I never do any of this stuff guys OK!) |

What I will offer you, might be something out of your belief system. I think I understand as well as I can what you have described as a problem. How you decide to try to solve it will depend on what you believe you understand now. But if something is true, then it should resonate with you at a deeper level. That level is the part of you that knows everything because it is the part that is always connected to God, regardless what you choose to do with your conscious mind, or even if you presently believe God or not. It really doesn’t matter because what is true is True. And it is how we were created From my experience, my opinion is that the best way to handle the problem you describe, is to use the highest Spiritual Help available to us. I know it works, and if you check it out it will give you an insight into the situation you were not aware of. And it may turn out to been a blessing which led you to learn something new and important for you to learn, along with solving the problem. Either way, best of luck to you, and I respect the fact you seem to be open enough so that you try to reach out for help even in this open forum. One can never know for sure where the help might come from. But if you sincerely asked for help inwardly, you would be directed to do what needs to be done to be given that help. Unless you've experienced this you can't possibly understand. Some seriously horrid mad shit has gone through my mind over the years, sometimes I wonder how I've remained sane. I never get compulsions to do bad stuff, but bad stuff gets stuck in my head. Imagine for a second you're watching the news and you hear about some bad shit that just happened. Now imagine if you had the type of OCD that got those mental images/actions stuck in your head. Now imagine if YOU COULDN'T GET RID OFF THEM. That the more you fight them, the more anxious you get and the further they get embedded. Also, imagine that stuff gets twisted around and the bad stuff gets switched to from your perspective as if you'd done them, because your anxiety and emotions are so fucking high that you may as well had done something bad because that's how bad you feel. Now imagine if this happened for virtually every single horrid thing you ever witness, be it real life, TV, something COMPLETELY FICTIONAL. Then imagine it happens so often your brain gets wired to think in this action, often resulting in bad shit in your head out of nowhere. Unable to ever truly relax because you're under constant mental assault, never having a moments break at all. Imagine if you were afraid all the time, anxious all the time, and things just got worse, eventually because this was on your mind all day, it would even intrude on your sleep in your dreams. Now imagine that you're the kindest, gentlest soul you know, but still had to put up with this mad shit endlessly everyday for years upon years. And that's only half of it. Because that type of OCD often results in obsessive compulsive routines, such as washing hands repeatedly, checking doors, counting, ENDLESS FUCKING COUNTING IN YOUR HEAD, your OCD assigning pointless meanings (usually the bad intrusive thoughts) to numbers and actions that you know aren't true, but you have no choice to perform them because not performing them feels worse. Can't imagine that? GOOD. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Last Edited by Master X on 09/26/2012 02:08 PM |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 24501771 Germany 09/27/2012 11:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hey mate. Try thinking of it like this: Quoting: vash31 Firstly, you must believe that you are not your thoughts or your compulsions. They are just something you experience. Personally, I have found attempting to resist thoughts and ideas only serves to increase the frequency with which they occur. In one sense you might imagine how your attention applied to a specific idea will strengthen the neural mechanisms that underpin it. Rather than fight the idea like it is unwanted part of 'you', I believe it be much more effective to recognise these kinds of ideas as passing background noise. A practical method I have found to be effective is to consider it as follows: - Negative/inappropriate thought pops into my head - Then I acknowledge and accept that experience - Then I ask myself what/who is experiencing the thought? Try to consider that question deeply. I find the realisation that follows to completely abolish the power that thoughts and ideas have in directing my attention. very good advice. This helps me as well. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 23579473 United States 09/27/2012 11:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The goal here is not to forever play mind games with yourself, but to learn control where you direct your conscious energy - to learn to turn off your mind when you desire to. At first you will experience a very short-lived but discernable sense of mental relief from engaging in this practice. However it will fade quickly and you will find yourself returning to those unwanted thoughts shortly after, but you will increasingly find that those thoughts are now less threatening and less severe (less energized) than prior to you implementing this tactic. When you try and revisit those thoughts that you interupted, you will find it to be difficult to match the original level of intensity of those thoughts. You almost get an inner monoglue or feeling of, "What was I getting so worked up about again?". With practice you will find this technique easier to execute and the sense of mental relief that you get will increase in duration. You are training your consciousness to control your wandering mind. Eventually you will reach a point where you no longer need to employ tricks or 'techniques', you will simply have learned how to turn your mind off when you are experiencing cumbersome and unwanted thoughts. Really it's about regaining control of your conscious awareness. Give it a try and see if it works for you. What have you got to lose? |

Intrusive thoughts may also be associated with episodic memory, unwanted worries or memories from OCD,[2] posttraumatic stress disorder, other anxiety disorders, eating disorders, or psychosis.[3] According to Lee Baer (a specialist at the OCD clinic of Massachusetts General Hospital), intrusive thoughts, urges, and images are of inappropriate things at inappropriate times, usually falling into three categories: "inappropriate aggressive thoughts, inappropriate sexual thoughts, or blasphemous religious thoughts".[4]" [link to en.wikipedia.org] |
