Is Romney giving a 20% tax cut across the board? He claimed last night he wasn't giving a 5 trillion dollar tax cut. Which is it? He said we need less regulations on Wall Street and he wants to repeal Dodd Frank. He then said he wanted to increase regulations to limit the size of Wall Street Banks and determine what loan terms should be. Which is it? Less regulations or more? Pick one. He said he wasn't going to alter Medicare and then went on to explain how he was going to turn it into a voucher (coupon) system. He praised his own Healthcare plan in Massachusetts and said all States should follow his lead. They have, it's called Obamacare.

You would have Insurance companies making the Voucher system look good until they draw enough people from Medicare to destroy (defund) it. Then they would start raising their rates. Tell me I'm wrong. Privatizing Social Security would put your retirement at the whim of the Stock Market. How many people would have lost their entire retirement in the last stock market crash. Wall Street just wants your money. They don't care if you retire or not.

There is no Free Market, just Capitalism.

Capitalism is the social system which now exists in all countries of the world. Under this system, the means for producing and distributing goods (the land, factories, technology, transport system etc) are owned by a small minority of people. We refer to this group of people as the capitalist class. The majority of people must sell their ability to work in return for a wage or salary (who we refer to as the working class.)

The working class are paid to produce goods and services which are then sold for a profit. The profit is gained by the capitalist class because they can make more money selling what we have produced than it cost to buy on the labour market. In this sense, the working class are exploited by the capitalist class. The capitalists live off the profits they obtain from exploiting the working class whilst reinvesting some of their profits for the further accumulation of wealth.

Can you come up with another definition of Capitalism? This IS how our system works. We have thrown in some protections for the working class but those protections are constantly under attack. As for the Free Market, there is no such thing. All Markets require rules these rules are fluid and take on the characteristics of the current rule makers. Under Capitalism those rule makers tend to be the Capitalist or Elite class. Capitalism is always a struggle between the workers (producers) and the Capitalists.

What is wrong with ending the estate tax and gift tax? Why should people work all their lives for something, only to have the government steal half of it? My family has a farm worth $3 million paid for. It took us 30 f-ing years of hard ass work to pay it off, it is not right that the heirs should have to sell it just to give blood money to a bunch of leaches.
