Instead, they bring them home garbage food from McDonald's, Taco Bell, etc. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22079895 2. Kids are rarely moderated on their food intake, consuming large quantities of potato chips, snack cakes, etc. (all high in carbs). 3. Exercise is not to blame, you can loose weight without exercise! 4. Carbohydrates are the leading cause of weight gain. Carbs can be found in sugar (soda, snack cakes), bread (hamburger buns, pizza, pasta), and even in fruits. 5. A low-carbohydrate meal can lead to weight loss, without a person feeling hungry. 6. I have lost 16 pounds (7 kilos) in under 2 weeks, eating low carb foods, and I am a low-active person. Yes, I lost 16 pounds by not starving myself, or working out 12 hours a day. How can people loose weight? 1. Stop consuming carbs. Put down the soda, do not drink anything with aspartame in it. Do not eat any bread, pasta, sugar, fruits, etc. Limit carbs to less than 20 per day, and those 20 carbs MUST come from vegtables. You can eat MEAT. BEEF, CHICKEN, PORK, etc. Protein is good for you! Eat eggs too. 2. Quit feeding your children CRAP. Feed them lean meats and vegetables. 3. Quit buying into the CRAP on TV. Exercise has nothing to do with it, you don't need a miracle diet. To repeat: 16 pounds in TWO WEEKS, that's 8 pounds a week. You don't have to work out every day, you don't have to starve yourself. Fat does NOT make you fat. CARBOHYDRATES DO: Diabetics: A low carbohydrate diet can rid some people of diabetes. Diabetes is not a disease, it's a imbalance of blood sugar. how about peanuts? Who is John Galt? |

It will adapt with a change as I am sure many have experienced after a sickness or something else which has caused the feeling of a 'shrinking stomach'. Proper fasting for a day or two can help jump start a more healthy hunger response. Fast Food=Poison What causes attraction to said? TV Commercials... It's called 'programing' for a reason. You will never find the missing link. It's interesting you say that as I saw a thread the other day I found highly intriguing. In essence, the posters father had recently passed away from cancer. He said his father came to him in a dream and said something like, "If you don't want to get cancer, drink this everyday." He then held up a pitcher of water with lemon slices in it. When idle consider 200g a day that's it. :-) To start easy way just focus on limiting carbohydrates to less than 70g and avoid any processed products. Buy raw meat, eggs, lard, , butter, cream, vegetables (it can be difficult but still possible in your country) and cook by yourself. Ratio fat to protein should be between 2 and 2.5. And lots of water! Delicious, nutritious, and filling :) Two problems: - one is hungry due to empty stomach not due to lack of energy - one is configured to store fat made from carbohydrates not to use and burn own fat - habit to eat all the time, consider 16 hours break to give the liver chance to rest and chance to metabolism to use own fat. So to start stomach must be full (low carb veggies) an some fat to reconfigure metabolism to fat usage than day by day eating less is possible. inspiration: The-Ronda-Rousey-Diet [link to www.ufc.com] and result: |

And I just turned 50 today!! Exercises are very good excuse to eat more. However ... In time you will fill internal desire to walk, maybe swim or ride on bicycle, thats all right too. The first good sign is when you go to bed with feeling a little hungry and wake up then not hungry at all. p.s. English is not my first language as you can see - sorry. |

Whole foods. Eggs meat and cheese. No Gmo, no wheat sugar or corn. Went from size twelve to size two. Cured arthritis and depression too! Keep eating carbs and keep big pharma in business. Low fat is a lie! Blood pressure, cholesterol and triglycerides are all excellent. Never felt better. I'm 54 and started this two years ago. |

Corn syrup has tilted the scales against our behest (it's in everything). Wheat is another culprit. We are under attack by food approved by the FDA. Then there are the GMO's. Our G'Ment does not care about us at all. The faster we are dead, the less payments out of Social Security. |
