I'll give you some karma since I got if for free and I don't value it. If you could trade karma for gasoline, or silver, now that would be something. |

Quoting: Gonviral WELL? A few weeks would supply for a WAR! B.I.N.G.O. Plus, gasoline has a shelf life of only about a year or so, so if it is a military then it means that they mean action soon. keep the dream alive my mexican bandito! Aye ya yaye! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24381831 How much of the US oil production comes from the Midwest? What I'm trying to ask is if the New Madrid fault were to go off, how badly would it disrupt the US production of fuel? Market anticipation of this event could be the reason for the price spike. Bingo ! I think we are talking about something much larger than a little E.Q. this is megadoom like the great lakes spilling down the Mississippi and all the way to the gulf splitting the U.S. in half. I said the neon purple pill not the red pill. I guess if the price of gas keeps spiking, that will pretty much confirm our worst fears of a major catastrophe hitting the NMFZ. Right now that is what I am leaning towards. That area has been hit with too much stuff to be "just a coincidence." Katrina, gulf oil spill, LA sinkhole, volcanic plumes, earthquake swarms, etc. I guess we will find out for sure over the next few days if we were right or not. For the sake of argument, let's just say that we are right and that a huge catastrophic earthquake hits the NMFZ. What do we do after it hits? That is, WHAT THE FUCK DO WE DO AFTERWARDS!!! Something tells me they are getting rid of as much gas as possible for when the Big Quake hits. Who really knows. Peace Amy |

Quoting: Gonviral WELL? A few weeks would supply for a WAR! Think about this...NO replys from any political powers...? just grin an bear the high prices..!! facts.. Torrance Refinery at a Glance... Employs nearly 800 people Covers 750 acres Processes an average of 155,000 barrels of crude oil per day Produces 1.8 billion gallons of gasoline per year Produces nearly 10 percent of the gasoline that is refined in California, most of which is sold in Southern California Provides jet fuel to Los Angeles International Airport via pipeline Other products of the refining process include liquefied petroleum gases, diesel fuel, petroleum coke and sulfur. OR...MABIE ITS TRUE..SHORTFALLS ARE EXPECTED..SO.. BEND OVER AN TAKE IT. That was the first thing that crossed my mind. The second thing was that Cali is going into the drink and they actually don't want people to be able to get out of the area. Either on isn't good. |

They are making an example of a state that would still vote Obama even if they had a live feed of him personally detonating a 500 million pound gigaton nuke triggering the San Andreas fault and blowing us into the Pacific ! Quoting: Black Diamond 20028740 Lots of food products/produce comes from Cali. Prices for fruits and veggies and whatever else will skyrocket now because of the price to transport them with the high gas prices. There is a much bigger picture here I think. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 21419102 United States 10/07/2012 11:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | California uses a special summer gasoline blend that is not produced outside the state... Quoting: DarbyDoom There are 18 refineries in California (excluding asphalt refineries) only 8 refine over 100k/day... 2 of the 8 major refineries were down this week..... Among the recent disruptions, an Aug. 6 fire at a Chevron Corp. refinery in Richmond that left one of the region's largest refineries producing at a reduced capacity, and a Chevron pipeline that moves crude oil to Northern California also was shut down. Exxon Mobil Corp. said a refinery in Torrance returned to normal operations Friday after the power failure Monday disrupted production for most of the week. State officials said with the refinery coming back online, prices should start falling. Gasoline inventories in California, however, are still at their lowest point in more than 10 years, a situation made worse by the mandate for the special summer gasoline blend. Few refineries outside the state can make it, meaning there are few outside sources to draw from for help, Cinquegrana said. The air keeps moving from West to East. How is the power out for one week ? Pipeline story is very weak the oil tankers pull right up to the Bay Area refineries. Now that the world societies, and economies, are nearing total collapse. what if they can not decide which of them..........or which group is going to rule over the smoldering ashed of the world? Could they be using assets such as fuel, or food, and war, to war with each other? Could they be using these assets to sway public opinion, and push their agenda?
