Quoting: Thor's Hamster Good post, Lisa Lisa. Where's Cult Jam? ;) The cult jam is still sleeping, the sun hasn't come up yet this morning. :) Here, either. Apollo astronauts couldn't have passed through Van Allen's Belt. Van Allen wore suspenders. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 55810957 United States 03/26/2014 11:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You didn't answer my question. Why not? Because you're being cruel and rude for no reason. Yes, I'm afraid you are right. But, the question is valid is it not? You want us to understand your God. Well then, help me to. Can you answer this question even though I was rude? And I sincerely sorry for the first post. Honest. |

Well, understand that it was just an illustration. But, it's true in a sense for alot of people. Not all, but alot. Most people find themselves in difficult circumstances, they try everything else first before calling out to Jesus to help them. Then, He will come. But, people are stubborn, hard hearted, hard headed, and they want to be their own God, so He lets us try everything we want too.......and then when we find out that none of those things work, He shows up. |

Thank you for taking the time to reply back to me after my uncivilized original two posts. You have a beautiful heart. I have considered what you have said and I also have studied the bible for many years and tried hard to understand what is asked of Christians. I have to say that it just feels so wrong to me. Not out of emotionally, but from my heart. It feels like slavery to me. Here is the central part that I cannot accept. Any loving, advanced and all knowing God would never scorn me (leave me in the hole suffering) just because I was not ready to accept him as my "savior". So, if I refuse to believe He exists or is my God, he will just let me stay there in unending pain and suffering? That is not a God to me, but the Darkness. My God would not expect me to worship him or to follow him and if I didn't to punish me. I am NOT trying to disrespect your views in any way. I am just telling you why I spoke the way I did earlier. Peace and love to you. You are a beautiful soul. |

He taught about love, mercy, forgiveness, kindness, compassion and so forth. These are the qualities of Jesus Christ. But, in the end, it's our choice to accept Him or not. He will never force Himself upon anyone. God bless you. |

I can separate the teachings that we have been told came from Jesus and the KJB and from the Christian Churches. Again, no disrespect, but I see Jesus as a wise prophet. Just a beautiful and loving soul. But just a man. I find much that he is supposed to have said to be the truth that I try to live by. I find the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas (rejected and not in the KJB) as the best example of the true teachings of this man. He would never have hesitated to "pull me out of the hole" just because I refused to believe that he was a diety or God or even the Son of God. I honestly believe that he was here as a living example of what we can become if we live a spiritual life. And here is the part all Christians can't except, he was telling us that we can reach his level of spiritually, in other words to become "the Son of God" also. He was not the onlt Son of God. He was saying that we all are! Thank you for listening. I find the gabbering of most brain-dead Christians very frustrating and shallow. Thus the reason for my rudeness. Again, I'm sorry for my posts above. Peace and love |
