First off it's not mars or where is the proof that it is! Moon landing was faked and so was the Mars landing. It's to keep the sheeple believing in progress.

How would exterior plastic...OF ANY KIND...be used in deep space travel? How far away from the landing site is the rover...isn't it cruising around? Exactly how big is this piece of trash...no reference?

My immediate response was some sort of wrapping, but from what i had no clue. Good point about the -mars dust, has to be from the rover itself.

It kind of reminds me of a snake skin or something like that.

These type of probes are constructed inside of cleanrooms and poly sheeting is a material that is cleanroom approved.

I'm pretty sure that it came from Curiousity.

Just a piece of the parachute....

Looks to me like a peice of protective plastic that was stuck in a joint somewhere that worked loose and fell. If anyone has ever tried to remove that protective stuff that manufacturers love to use these days you will know what I am talking about. Sometimes things are assembled with the plastic on them, and then the protective sheet is pulled off, and in some instances there are tight spots where pieces get left.

that looks like some form of vegetation (leaf) that is busy decomposing ... perhaps the wind blew it there?

and looking at the soil, to get sand to form in round/oval spheres, water is needed

and that is 'assuming' that the pics are indeed from mars

I thought the same at first, but changed my mind. Look at edges of the tear, it looks stretched (see the ripples along the edge) like a form of plastic.

I keep reptiles and can say for a fact that their skin doesn't stretch.
