It's always the most incompetent boob that gets bumped up the ladder. The promotion gets the idiot out of some frustrated middle manager's hair and into somebody elses. Back when I uesd to work when the people upstairs askd me to send them somebody, I always used it as an excuse to get rid of the know nothing, do nothing, shiftless jackass I couldn't fire. If I got rid of my good people and had nothing but shiftless jackasses in my department, I'd be the one looking for a job.

That's why companies go bankrupt. Eventualy they have nothing but lazy pea brains in every position at the top.

Think I'm kidding, I'm not. It's what happened to the company I used to work for and is the reason why your boss is quite often the most incompetent fuck in the place.

What do you do?

I was a waiter only, now I am going to be starting bartending. Great restaurant, in a very affluent area, I make a ton of money and will be making more now.

good job...how much is the dollar raised?

I will make about $4.00 an hour more while bartending, maybe all the time.

The average WITH TIPS is usually about $10 or at least that is what it was when I was bartending ($5/hr. +tips). As a server I think we got $2 something an hour and it still averaged out to about $10 an hour.

Bartenders get far more tail than waiters, just sayin'.

Good job! If they gave you a promotion, you no doubt deserved it. Well done.

P.S. Nevermind the jealous trolls here.

Actually servers here get 4.25 plus tips, and it's a nice place so I make pretty good money.

So as a bartender I will get $8.25, plus tips, plus tip outs from the servers.

My best mix...I make a great bloody mary or margarita.
