They don't have jurisdiction... If he was a traitor w/I the DOD he would be investigated by one of the myriad DOD investigative agencies & he would be tried under the UCMJ....

The US Military has its own justice system... An active duty general would be investigated by DOD agencies & if criminal misconduct is alleged he would be prosecuted under the military justice system...

Note - DOD civil matters are also investigated by the DOD investigative agencies - not FBI

Get the issue? The FBI investigates civilians... So, if this came out due to an FBI investigation, and he was the subject of the investigation, it most have related to his actions after he retired from the military...

The affair was discovered in an FBI investigation OF THE CIA CHIEF???!!! I thought their jurisdictions were quite distinct. And now we hear that the FBI LEAKED to the press (Kessler)???!!! Why would they do that?

Interesting take on Fox news. They said that this incident will force the other news channels to follow the behghazi incident as news front runner in the coming weeks and may break it wide open

DP has a extramarital affair ... hardly newsworthy in Washington. My theory is somebody in the administration however probably tries to lever him to testify falsely at Congressional Hearings on Benghazior he'll be outed.

DP is an honourable man and calls their bluff rather than lie for the PoS in the White House.

Ask yourself who has the weight to Direct the FBI to investigate a Cabinet member ... Director of the Agency no less.

The FBI investigates acting heads of the CIA? That doesnt sound right. Evenso, you'd think that he would have had insiders in the FBI informing him.

Think there is a coup in progress.

Getting "extra-marital-affaired" might be better than getting "heart-attacked", for the time being at least,

but if he is getting falsely set up then what comes more to mind is how many are on his side in the CIA, and what beliefs and intentions does he carry in his administration.
