Don't I wish - it's more like "go to hell" right now. I know that seems harsh for your own mother, but her brain is so spun by an abusive husband that she has done some things recently that are pretty much unforgivable. I feel sorry for her, but I can't be around or communicate with her any more...she has ruined over a year of my life with her BS.

On topic - she's not the only one to go kind of nuts in the last year or so, I know a few others. Maybe there's something to this!

That's me. I know the next round of layoffs are coming but I try not to think about it, hope for the best, and live life to the fullest. I'm as prepared as I can be.

well...I'll just sleep through it and probably the right thing to do. I'm not sure I can handle more doom right now. The election put me over the edge. lol

Agreed. I think now is the time to bond together and use our so called "intelligence" to change things for the better.

It's unfortunate, but common sense doesn't exist really anymore therefore, I have changed it to rare sense. If it was common, everyone would be doing it. But it just doesn't seem to be the way anymore.

I hope things do change for the better, but there will have to be some sort of chaos before the better comes.

A little advice, don't consider this forum the norm.

Around here, it seems almost deliberate. I get behind a black person and they slow down so I change lanes to go around them and they speed up. Pass me that little smirk as they go by. There's definitely something up.

Yes, everyone has gone mental. I watched about a dozen peeps get run over by other people with their carts in their haste this week. One man even ran over his own child! I was in a store in the 10 items or less line where people were pretty hot at a person who had one item too many. The cashier just tried to un-ruffle the person. He left and we all moved up And again. And again. Then yay! It was my turn. Of course I had 11 because I saw the mints at register waiting so long and needed them. The cashier totally ignored this and so did everyone because as I was paying the bill someone got accidentally hit with a cart when another was trying to get to a newly opened register on the other side. A woman starting shouting all kinds of things and others were telling her to let it go but she said, 'hell no! She hit you and don't even care!' and the next thing I know a cart was flying behind me straight towards the offender. I don't know if it hit her because I was trying to get the cashier to give me my money so I could get the heck outta there. She was just staring at the scene holding my cash in her hand. There was shouting and yelling and not one person did anything, not even me, not even a manager. The offender did apologize but was still being yelled at. A lot of selfish people out there to be sure. All worrying about themselves. And I guess maybe I'm one of them but hey, my kids are still young enough to need me, and I like living. I guess what I'm trying to say is yes, they've gone mental. And yes, we should all be more considerate of others. I watch every day as people do rotten things to each other simply because they think they are more important than others. We have to learn to care about others. It's not to late to start.
