They can spread bacteria throughout the Gulf area, they can have "accidental nuclear leaks" going into our atmosphere, they can chemically harm cancer patients, they can spread chemicals from on high, they can poison our food, but god forbid we light up a cigarette… Cuz it’s the cigarettes that cause all the cancers… Ya Right!

But I can't stand the odor of commercial cigarette smoke, but I don't mind (or I enjoy) the smell of natural tobacco, like cigar or pipe. In fact wild tobacco grows as a weed in most empty lots and fields where I live. It even grows in cracks mortar out of the tops of buildings!

I think they put a lot of Agenda 21 chemicals in commercial cigarettes. I even suspect that that brew that they serve up in the cigarette, changes the frequency of a person, possibly to a state of awareness, controlled by the political state somehow. Although I admit that theory is far-fetched.

If this goes through, and my personal limit exceeds "theirs," I'll just learn how to grow my own tobacco. Tricky maybe, but I'll learn it and it will be a good skill to have anyway. But wait, will growing tobacco become the new equivalent to growing marijuana?

if smoking is so awful, why not just outlaw it once and for all, get it over with...not kill smokers by a thousand cuts

I don't smoke, and my eyes tear up if someone smokes too close to me, but I'm OK with letting them have their own areas, rooms, outdoor places to go smoke...and those of us who don't like it get everyplace else

Here in the Portland Oregon area they are talking about adding an additional 32 cent fee onto all the phone bills (cell and landline) so they can teach the police how, when, and how much to use tasers on retarded people. Oh, sorry, people with "mental and emotional issues". Of course all of us phone users haven't seen anything about voting on this. As it stands now, over 1/3 (closer to 1/2) of our phone bill is taxes and fees. When I first got a phone, the entire bill was less than the taxes/fees I must now pay.
