Re: Most who think they believe in jesus do not.
Hmm, my bible says what you posted while bible gateway says another but I don't see what the problem is? Something being communicated differently?

The NIV basically says Jesus is not God, when the KJV clearly says that he is God.

"Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God." (KJV) Philippians 2:6

"Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped." (NIV) Philippians 2:6

Thank you but the kjv could be wrong as well. As for being equal and not equal I guess I can compare translations. Perhaps the most popular data wins?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26244997

No I'm telling you that Jesus = God

"I and my Father are one." -John 10:30 (KJV)

and the NIV in Philippians 2:6 basically says that Jesus is not equal to God.

Don't worry, it seems the Holy Spirit is strong in convicting you if your able to understand that we must not be the servant of sin, and must not live by the lusts of the flesh/eyes, just pray and God will guide you. The most important thing is that you call on the name of Jesus.

Hmm, I can say that I am gifted but I cannot say I have been sealed by the mark of god which I believe is the holy spirit given to those who obey. A gift is a gift. Perhaps wisdom, knowledge, and understanding but I am not saved or born again.

If jesus is the head but god is above him...how are they equal? Isn't jesus a "lesser" form of the most high?

No Jesus is the son of God, I.e. the immaculate conception (mary was a virgin, the father was God) which makes Jesus God in the flesh.

" For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)

I know jesus is god but the fleshly form not the form whose face brings death. The son of man versus the father. I do believe in the trinity.

I agree, sorry though. This is somewhat difficult on a phone. I have been at this for around a year since god showed me a unique sign like ezekiel I believe. As for your knowledge I do not doubt that you have it. No offense but even the devil knows the bible. I'm just saying I cannot trust one based on that. I have met individuals who are pastors with over 20 years who understand nothing. So yea, be careful. As for the kjv..i don't know. That includes the others. I guess I can get many biblres and compare. If most translations say equal than so be it. However, don't go for a king because it is a king or because it is old and unique. I'm not sure why you have chose it. I have one as well. Just remember this. What does god say about the most popular things the world adores?

Just stay away from the NKJV or the NIV as they distort versus in very satanic ways, I can provide proof if you would like verification. God Bless.

Edit: can't say for sure about the other versions. But you can never go wrong with 1611 KJV, the living, breathing, word of God.

If anyone who stumbles upon this thread wants to be saved say this prayer with earnest:

"Dear God, in the name of Jesus Christ, I admit that I am sinner and have fallen short of the glory of God. I understand that you must judge me, and that I deserve to burn in the lake of fire for my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and he Died for my sins, and you raised him from the death to be at your right hand side. I need you in my life, please come into my heart and fill my with the holy spirit, I know that this is the only way I can be saved have a chance at eternity with the father"

Then you have to take up your cross daily, and become a new creature in Christ, Repenting of your sins once you are Saved, and you have to turn from a life of sin, and from a life living after the lusts of the flesh and the eyes, and start living for God.

I do not endorse the concept of the trinity, however with that being said it is quite clear from the scriptures I quoted to you above, that Jesus Christ was god in the flesh. This can be proven because as humans we are unable to be without sin, however Jesus Christ, who was also in the flesh, was able to do this (the only human to be able to do this)

What they teach about the "trinity" I do not know. To me, it is simply one god. Father, son, holy ghost.

Okay I see what your getting at, but then how come he was referred to as God in the scriptures i.e Isaiah 9:6 or john 20:28?
and in john 14:9 he says he that seen me has seen the father?

Well, if true don´t call the Son of God

the God. There is only One, his Father.

Also

"Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?" John 14:9

And if go by the scriptures, and Jesus is the word made flesh, and the word is god, then wouldn't that make Jesus God in the flesh?

I can say that I am gifted but I cannot say I have been sealed by the mark of god which I believe is the holy spirit given to those who obey. A gift is a gift. Perhaps wisdom, knowledge, and understanding but I am not saved or born again.

I have already.

Anyway, don´t be like Thomas:

The Word is not God. The Word WAS WITH God, in the Beginning. A big difference.
