Rebels Seize Key Dam on Euphrates If it's close enough to the border it's possible the planes briefly crossed into Turkish airspace while making a bombing run. Yes, this is possible but would it be wise to try and shoot down an airplane that could cause more trouble and a real havoc? Or are they trying to make an excuse for a conflict and an invasion? Why Turkey is playing a NATO game that could end up bad for her? |

Rebels Seize Key Dam on Euphrates Assad's Troops Wipe Out a Playground Full of Children in Syria Quoting: DoorBert [link to www.theatlanticwire.com] At a certain point, it seemed like much of the world grew numb to the violence in Syria. But it's hard not to be disturbed by a new video showing a street littered with children's bloody bodies. The scene is from Deir al-Asafir, a rebel-held town in the outskirts of Damascus where a Syrian government airstrike killed as many as ten children on Sunday. Opposition sources told both R..trs and CNN that planes flown by Assad loyalists peppered the suburb with cluster bombs, one of which hit a playground full of children playing. A YouTube video shows the aftermath. (Be careful clicking through to that video -- It is disturbing and graphic.) Anything coming from msm CANNOT BE TRUSTED! Not saying that this didn't happen, or that it isn't horrific, but is the real story? Given that the msm are all liberal humanist propaganda outlets, especially CNN and R..trs, do you trust anything coming from them! Who backs the "rebels" cause? THEY DO! Any of you think that the rebels they back haven't killed people, and children? Neither side in this "conflict" is right in what they do! There are no real winners in any war! |

Assad has the right to defend his country against the Western backed terrorists who have brutally killed thousands of civilians. Isn't it a shame that the islamists hold children as human shields only to blame Assad when they get hit? |

Rebels Seize Key Dam on Euphrates From R****** NATO missiles not for Syria no-fly zone: Turkish military ANKARA | Mon Nov 26, 2012 6:19am EST ANKARA - NATO surface-to-air missiles due to be stationed near Turkey's border with Syria will only be used to protect Turkish territory and not to establish a no-fly zone within Syria, the Turkish military said on Monday. Turkey riled Syria, Russia and Iran by requesting the NATO surface-to-air Patriot system, designed to intercept aircraft or missiles, last Wednesday after weeks of talks on how to shore up security on its 900-km (560-mile) border as the conflict in Syria deepens. Syria, which called the move "provocative", and its allies including Russia and Iran oppose any development that they perceive could be a first step towards implementing a no-fly zone. "The deployment of the air and missile defense system is only to counter an air or missile threat originating in Syria and is a measure entirely aimed at defense," the Turkish military said in a statement. "That it will be used to form a no-fly zone or for an offensive operation is out of the question," it said. |

Rebels Seize Key Dam on Euphrates Turkey FM confirms resumption of reconciliation talks with Israel Follow Haaretz report last Friday, Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu tells CNN that Israel must apologize and compensate families of activists killed in Gaza flotilla raid, and lift Gaza blockade; Israeli envoy reportedly responds positively to first two requests, and does not rule ending Gaza siege. [link to www.haaretz.com] Turkey's been playing with fire, sacrificing ties with Israel to gain influence among Arab nations. During this cold war, all military agreements and defense cooperation was suspended, including work on a strategic aerial intelligence system. Now, with the Syrian crisis, they want Israel's defense technology and contractors like they had back in the good ol' days. |

Rebels Seize Key Dam on Euphrates 1341 GMT: Syria. This morning, NPR carried a report from a recent defector from the FSA who said that Assad is pulling his forces, especially tanks and aircraft, back from the front lines and toward Damascus. This matches what our sources have been reporting for more than a week. The increasing pace of FSA victories against major bases in Deir Ez Zor and peripheral bases in Aleppo is an indication that the FSA is taking advantage of Assad's withdrawal. The interesting development, then, is that despite these moves to keep the capital more secure, the FSA has still been able to capture several large bases both east and west of Damascus. Rebels Seize Key Dam on Euphrates From the R****** website - Quoting: Newshunter The rebels have been tightening their hold on farmland and urban centres to the east and northeast of Damascus while a major battle has been underway for a week in the suburb of Daraya near the main highway south. "We are seeing the starting signs of a rebel siege of Damascus," veteran opposition campaigner Fawaz Tello said from Berlin. "Marj al-Sultan is very near to the Damascus Airport road and to the airport itself. The rebels appear to be heading toward cutting this as well as the main northern artery to Aleppo." Gaining more ground and holding it are two different things. Their lines are getting stretched and thinning out if they are gaining so much territory. Maybe more to this that Assad just pulling back to Damascus |

Two military bases have been taken in the outskirts of Damascus in the past week. The balance of power is shifting. [link to twitpic.com] |
