Re: Bible Question? Where in the Bible does it tell Christians to worship Jesus?
Jesus said to follow him.
the word "Christian" which emerged in the books after the first four gospels, means to be "Christ-like".

Jesus is the model of how to be in mind, heart, spirit, strength.

However, Jesus IS God. They are one and the same.
Jesus said, "I and the Father are one."

Jesus is the one in whose name we pray.
We pray to the Father, but in the name above all names - Jesus.

Good answer sis.

I would like to take this deeper for the unlearned and start off by saying that when Christ comes back, HE will have a new name. He will not be called Jesus or His Hebrew written name.

This is for all of you.

John 1:1 (The Word) Who is that?

1 Esp. John 1:1 (The living Word) Who is that?

Now like I said Jesus will not come back as Jesus the Savior.

Rev. 19:13 defines who Jesus is and that is "The Word".

So John 1:1 is who?

I tried to engage this subject with you the other day Sis.
But you were busy with others on one of your thread getting the usual Christian blasting one and another.

Not your fault tho.

In the old testie in Isaiah 7:14 we see Christ there being spoken of.
The name Immanuel means "God with us".

So we do see a virgin in the New Testie and she gave birth to Immanuel.

Now the scriptures I posted should clean up anyones minds as to who Jesus really was and is and shall be forever.
Heaven and earth will pass away, But the Word will be forever. (Christians should know that verse and where to find it.)

the Holy Trinity was and always was/is.
there are many passages in the OT that named things before they had "names"

for example, the Word is Jesus. but, we are not given Jesus' name until later on.

another example, the "Restrainer" is the Holy Spirit. but, the Holy Spirit was not named until later.

Jesus is the Word, which is alive.
Jesus will come back as the Savior. do not be tempted to think otherwise.

Immanuel and Jesus are the same. the scripture reads that Mary gave birth to Immanuel and his name would be Jesus.

there are many reasons for this. too much to go into in this thread.

If I must point this out to you then maybe you will understand the Millennium and bit clearer. Yes, we will be with Christ at that time, but He will NOT BE CALLED Christ.
Rev. 19:13 proves that, He is the WORD and it even states that clearly in Rev. 19:13.
Rev. 2:17 is one of the verse's that I was going to ask you the other day in one of your threads, When Brogan got on board and asked me to point this out to you.

The Transfiguration was offered as proof of the divinity of Jesus. It does say to worship God.

Well most of what you posted sis is what I shared about the names in the bible. I have been sharing the meanings of all the names in the bible for years.

Hidden manna is real, and maybe you can't see them. After all Christ did tell us to learn the hidden manna. He is the manna sent from Heaven. Then in Rev. 2:17 we even see the words "Hidden manna".
Like I keep telling everyone, LISTEN TO CHRIST NOT SOME OTHER PERSON NOR SOME DENOMINATIONAL traditions. (Not yelling there, just making it stick out loudly for all to see.)

What I have picked up on this posting of yours, you did not like it because I used gave the expression of deeper understanding.
I know of many Christians who fall into the pit daily and do not want anyone to go above what they think is their idea of what the Word says.
The Word, the bible confirms itself and I have proven that over and over and over, yet many many Christians because of their traditional teachings come against what the Word says.
All I do it point things out. I never give an opinion on any subject. I just post scripture and let the chips fall where they may.

So, sis, most of your posting is with me, not against me. Re-read what you posted, then go read what I posted. Sounds like to me you were my second witness until your last two sentence's.

I am not here to battle anyone. Satan loves to help my brothers and sisters put up road blocks between them.

I think I watched this happening the other day with you and several others. I stepped away from it, because I no longer wish to participate with that kind of "LOVING one and other".

Yes, sis, I know the servant can never be above his Master, but you are not my beloved sister in Christ my Master.

I wonder why you said that to me?

A side note for ya.
I went to a church this summer for about 2 months being directed by the Holy Spirit to do so.
The pastor one day said this..." Angels do not sin!"
Well I did not jump up and blast him, I went back the next time that church was being held.
I said this to him.
"Pastor I come to you with humbleness in my heart and with love also in my heart for you as a brother in Christ and I want to ask you a question about what you said about angels not sinning."
He would not answer me, like many do when I ask questions.
I stood there for two whole minutes waiting for his response.
Then I said," Let me show you some scripture so you can see why I asked the question."
His response was when I took him into the book of Peter first, then Jude 6, and etc.
His response was "Well I thought that is why you asked the question."
But he knew he made a huge error. Why?
Because he is even today Biblically ignorant and spouts out his traditional church teachings. Yet even tho I had shown him that error.
I guess he wanted me to let him be my Master.
Many love to lord over other Christians, and many pastors have that issue.
We are all equal in Gods eyes and NONE of us are to lord over others. And that includes me in that equation.

Well, thanks for your response back to me , I appreciate on how you see me as your brother in Christ.
I will have to be careful not to over charge or offend you.
I will try to correct that for you.

blessings and much love to you in Christ name.

Re: Bible Question? Where in the Bible does it tell Christians to worship Jesus?
The problem is the vengeful, murderous, vindictive, capricious "Father" that Jesus worships is not worthy of MY praise.

This whole Jesus myth is getting really old, but even if the stories about a man named Jesus were somehow true.... we are obviously dealing with a very bi-polar, unpredictable God.

No wonder the Bible tells you slaves to fear the lord your god. He might snap at any time and smite you all at his whim.

Must suck to live in fear and guilt all the time.

Re: Bible Question? Where in the Bible does it tell Christians to worship Jesus?
why don't you christians have a crack at worshipping the roman emperor constantine, i mean he is the true founder of your religion. If he hadn't converted the roman empire to christianity (by the sword, because thats what christ would have wanted)in the 3rd centuary, then your religion would have been nothing more than an obscure faction of judaism that got lost in history. Another interesting fact, after you guys burnt the library of Alexandria containing 3,000 years worth of Eygption knowledge what did you christians use it for? Wait for it....A barn. Yes that's right you used it to house livestock, awesome.

These both explain it very simply, clearly and literally.
In Jesus name, Amen.

I wonder why you could see what I posted and yet I got opposition from others. Hummm. You must be one of those that have their eyes opened.
I am a NOBODY, nothing.
But the Word is in control, not me.

Many blessings and peace and we shall sing forever in eternity with love in our hearts as it was before.

I understood your post. And I also understood Salt's. What I don't understand is why you both though you were disagreeing! lol

Yea, I pointed that out. She was my second witness. lol

I was not disagreeing with her, I was pointing out that we do agree , yet the spirit of jousting comes into play.

I know Sis gets blasted all the time by others. Her defense is up all the time. Many have worked her over so much so and I have seen this all the time. So I understand why she does this.
But I truly care for her and her family as I do all .

Knowing the complete plan of God helps one become stronger in faith.
blessings and thanks my friend for pointing this out so I can make corrections in my postings and try to present things a little more clearer.
God bless

Ahh, if we weren't incessantly being attacked, I'd be a little worried lol
The Lord did warn us after all.
I've seen some of the attacks Salt (and yourself and others) have had to deal with. I guess I'm still learning to hold my tongue and not lose my temper! lol
I have a way to go, but I'm sure with God I'll get there tounge
Peace to you, in Jesus' Name hf

I am laughing.
Hey, I hear ya and all, but can you explain how I personally or we "guys" burnt the library of Alexandria. I mean, not even my dad was born yet when that happened.

constantine? Constantine ! Do you really think He changed everything for we Christians?

You speak as if you know Christ personally. "Thats what Christ would have wanted" statement. lol

Hey, let me love God and let me love Christ and I will not have any issues with you being who you are. Then we can have peace and respect. ok.

"MY SPIRIT, YOU ARE OMNIPOTENT. YOUR NAME IS HOLY. MAY YOUR REALM BE INCARNATE IN ME. MAY YOUR POWER REVEAL ITSELF WITHIN ME, ON EARTH AND IN THE HEAVEN. GIVE ME TODAY MY DAILY BREAD, AND THUS, LET ME RECOGNIZE MY TRANSGRESSIONS AND ERRORS, AND I SHALL RECOGNIZE THE TRUTH. AND DO NOT LEAD ME INTO TEMPTATION AND CONFUSION, BUT DELIVER ME FROM ERROR. FOR YOURS IS THE REALM WITHIN ME AND THE POWER AND THE KNOWLEDGE FOREVER,

Just wondering???
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28555464

The story of Jesus is the story of the rebirth of the Sun at Winter solstice..

Cancer (the manger) with Aselus Astralis and Borealis the two donkey stars, falls to the west right before Dawn.

Mary and Joseph bed for the night before the Sun Son rises in the East..

Let them observe their solar religion. It goes way back to the Persian astrologers and Zoroaster, Mithras..

Its a way to tell time and seasons.

Christians have encoded that knowledge for so long. If TSHTF then at least kids and remember the stories and carry it onto their children.

I bet you don't even know who the real anti-christ is. lol

im a christian and as such do not worship jesus, but his father as he said to do. The creator of everything. Jesus came to tell us to ask for forgiveness and it would be given
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14286934

common sweetie he taught a lot more than that, and by calling yourself Christian you are committing all sorts of stuff. Here's how. How many wars are started over such, and you who are Christian almost always deny your brothers and sisters of other religions.
